The square wooden block goes into the square space. It doesn't go into the circle space. The circle block goes into the circle space. It doesn't go into the triangle space. The triangle block goes into the triangle space. It doesn't go into the square space. You can bet your boxer shorts on that one.

If the triangle is smaller than the circle space, it just may fit into the circle space. Etc.

I'd say get rid of him, just so the team can move on from that era. However, him being gone won't suddenly make the Knicks better. Whether he's playing in the game, on the bench, or in another Zip code, this team will still stink.

Martin, I created a specific thread to the new topic, but it pretty much lines up with Marbury has to go all the same. I made my point clear.

Dude. Yesterday you made a thread about how Marbury should stay and then today you make a thread about how he should go. I mean come on...

Stop misquoting me. I made a thread that asks what if it backfires? D'Antoni put this into motion and it could jeopardize certain things in our plans. And I did make a point to keep him for fiscal responsibility purposes. Not because I think he's an important piece on this team. I don't want to be nasty about him anymore, but I'm not going to take him back in so easily either. And my other point is if were gong to keep him, then play him. If their not going to play him, then get rid of him, because it's bad aura. It's just bad to have someone like that on this team any longer.

If you guys don't understand that, then I don't know how else to put it. I believe I have a good point here.
I'll never trust this' team again.

And I still' think this team is much, much better than what people give them credit for. Get rid of Marb and give this coach and these players a chance. That's all I ask.

If we keep Marbury and don't play him, Marbury will get all of the press and there is potential for a flairup on all sides!

If we waive MArbury, Marbury will still get much of the press the entire year. The presses story time after time will be, "Marbury played well, the Knicks played poorly, should they have kept him and played him".....etc.

I don't understand why we don't keep him and play him off of the bench? He is a good player and would be an improvement. I know all of the crap that has gone on in the past. Is that still an issue this year? I thought everybody had a clean slate? or did some behind the scenes flareup take place between Marbury and D'Antoni?

I can understand the unwillingness to keep buying people out by Dolan. He must be thinking, where does it stop - why do I have to keep buying out mistake after mistake after mistake (coaches, players, etc...)? Dolan's a boob and I never liked the guy, but he is a business man so I can understand if that's his thinking. But with Marbury - nobody wins with this , if no buy out is part of the deal, then he probably should be playing. If you don't want to play the guy and don't want him part of this team moving forward, that's fine, then buy him out - or at least approach him again about a buy out. If Dolan wants a return on his 21 mil. dollar investment in the guy for this year, you play him. Otherwise....... No but they'll keep him then not play him and even tell him not to dress.... Still hurting yourself Jimmy, might as well sit him down and start some buy-out dialogue with the guy. He plays the whole pre-season, even starts the game against the Celts at home, then they pull the cord on the guy, suprising everyone. Gotta start the buy-out talks with the guy - if Steph doesn't except, then **** him, let him sit there - but seeing how this is going, he might (should) reconsider, and so should Walsh with his 'I don't do buy-outs' nonsense. Very oddball situation, it really is.

Markji, Who knows. I'm still a little confused about the D'Antoni back stab, which I actually liked when I thought about it more. I thought it could be a change in another direction, but it just puts Walsh on the hot seat. Not a good thing. And if we do keep him and play him, Marbury survives again and he will have a field day in tormenting yet another coach.

marbury is a cancer, unfortunately. I said this a few years back when we first got him. He must go, but the way he is on good behaviour makes me almost sympathetic towards him. ALMOST.

It's hitting the wires that D'Antoni wants him waive before Wednesday. He, Walsh and Marbury are going to meet on Monday. The thought is to see if Marbury agrees to a buy out. Marbury's people said his pride is hurt and he will not agree to any buy out. So now the ball is solely on Walsh. His coach wants him waive before Wednesday and the player will not accept a buy out. The meeting of the minds.

And naturally Tat Head has no agent to smooth the way. He's probably getting a No Buyout tat engraved on his forehead as we speak.

When Marbs is gone and all we're left with is uneventful suckerey I'll miss his drama.
