This destroy the 2010 plan.

what plan?

In case you have been in a coma since Walsh was hired, the plan is to get under the cap by the summer of 2010. However it is done, that is the plane. It will be difficult but it is the right way to go.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

d'antoni's system doesn't have a spot for tubs but don nelson's does?

agree.

Marbury for Harrington Ellis and Brandan Wright works in the trade checker (after Dec 15th)

unless golden state wants to blow up their entire team, i don't see them doing this trade.

I'd assume we'd have to include a huge sweetner to get this deal done.

Marbury won't work for them because they won't include enought to match salaries...

I think as a fan you really have to consider Curry/Nate for Harrington and Marcus Williams.

I don;t think Curry and Collins for AH gets it done.
Can someone please defend the rack?

the 2010 mantra is a sham!

Isiah still runs the Knicks.

He fakes an overdose to let everyone know he is still in NY right before the season starts and then his new worst enemy Steph gets DNP'ed on opening night at the Garden.

The next move will be what every other move the past decade has been - a strphuck.

At least a guy of Monta's skill set if he recovers from the moped injury may well be worth it

2010 is an excuse from the front office to keep knicks fans at bay in case the team sucks for the next 2 years...

As a fan I want no part of Marcus "I can't hold down backup PG even though it is handed to me and I lose my spot to Eddie House/Darrel Armstrong/Unknown rookie" Williams.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I agree with the plan being a sham. At this point the plan sounds like the old "if everyone stays healthy" saying!

That could easily be true. I think they would have immediately given Lee an extension and used the MLE on a better player worthy of a 5 year deal if they weren't considering 2010 though.

Curry for Harrington works for me.

However, it gives GS 2 centers so perhaps we do this deal :
Curry + Lee for Harrington + Biedrins thereby Exchanging a C + PF for a C + PF. Have to sign and trade Lee to make the offer balance salary wise or we throw in Malik for salary balance and an expiring contract. Then we can re-sign PE Jr.

That trade works for me. It should improve our defense - both at center and at forward. If we have to sweeten it with that 2nd round pick we got for Balkman, that would work too.

Wonna trade my mother in law to my neighbors farther in low but age won’t much. So I throw in my little nephew to balance the deal.
The senior citizens board handed me the approval!!!

Who are you, Isiah? Let's wait and see if it's a sham and not proclaim it to be one 6 months into Walsh's tenure where he took over arguably the worst situation in all of sports. And no, taking a chance on Elli's contract is not "worth it" at all. When did Ellis become LeBron all of a sudden?

As for dj, if 2010 is an excuse than let it be. They already said we're gonna suck so what exactly are they hiding? You really think they're trying to "save their jobs" for 2 years as if Dolan will really care about the record and fire them? Look how long it took Isiah to get fired and he still is working for the team. It's not a ploy, it's a plan that can be characterized as a dream right now since we are only in the preliminary stages. But if they were to go back on their word now to get some crap like Ellis then I would probably just give up totally. Might as well bring back Isiah if all we're gonna do is pile-on the contracts.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Al Harrington expires next year. He most certainly helps in that respect and that's all that really matters.

he can also shoot the rock, something Curry can't do... & he's a lot less likely to get a sore knee from walking into the lockerroom at the half.

well at least that'll make all the 2010 for Lebron plan bashers happy.

Nate and Curry for Harrington and Marcus Williams makes a lot of sense since we are not going to resign nate anyway. So getting rid of Curry's salary is a big win and i think in the end I would do the deal. We aren't going any where thus Nate's 7 million he would likely get on the open market combined with Curry's 11 in 2010 is 17 million which can go towards signing a real talent.

GS does need a guard but I wouldn't trade Nate. He fits D'A system perfectly and IMO, Nate and Chandler are non-tradeable. Substitute MArdy and I'd do it. Although I do like Mardy but Curry has to be moved.

i'd make that deal in a heartbeat, & i like Nate... we all need to put our personal feelings aside & look at the big picture here... 2010 is a huge season to have cap flexibility i don't care what u wanna say about how we're not getting Lebron... Zach's playing well right now so if u can unload that money in other ways u gotta do it... obviously the preference would be to get rid of Fishlips & Curry at this point but u can't have ur cake & eat it too... if it means watching Nate grow into a very good player in another team's uniform to allow us to have the means to at least target some franchise calibre talent in a couple years, u gotta do it.

we can deal w/this rotation for a year or 2 while we wait & still win just as many games as we would have if we didn't make the deal:

C - Zach / Jefferies / Turd
PF - Lee / Gallo / Malik
SF - Harrington / Chandler
SG - Jamal / Q Rich / Roberson
PG - Duhon / Mardy / The Truth
