I think preseason is just that. Look at the game Crawford had. The Heat have a new coach and started two rookies. I think you can spin it any way you want after the first game. The Knicks need to play more games before any statements about their future success or failure are made based on their play.

4949 is going all Nixluva on you guys :) Well maybe Nixluva on crack Man I don't even think i've ever went this crazy after one win! I'm very happy about the win and I do think the preseason mattered in only this sense... The knicks demonstrated a very good grasp of what MDA's system is all about. They did this by demonstrating the very things that MANY on this forum and other forums said these players COULDN'T do.

Now i'll toot my own very small horn on that point, cuz I never waivered in saying that the players could do much better than we had seen if they were coached properly. But we still stink on D. At least we did in the 4th qtr. I can't wait to get Jared back... I can't believe I just said that!

I'm putting it all on the line. 40 wins dudes! What's the difference of this game and one last year like it? 'They actually held on to win and got the extra points (clutch) needed to keep a distance. They actually looked like a fundamentally sound team for once.

If anyone here still hasn't seen a difference under D'Antoni, they must be delusional, on crack or cocaine (as it was said to me). I was right.

Now, they will just' lose their next game, but don't worry. At least our guys will put up decent numbers again.

I also love the fact that D'Antoni has identified the two big problems this team faces and we know who they are. It's those two guys sitting at the end of the bench, looking pissed. he, he.

GO KNICKS!!!
I'll never trust this' team again.

we barely beat a team that won 15 games last year.

This is hardly a statement of anything other than the Knicks are more exciting to watch.

But that 15 win team basically added a healthy Wade and Beasley.. While the Knicks shouldn't pat themselves on the back too hard, they held off the run ( which they wouldn't have the last few years) and won

Preseason STILL doesn't mean anything.

The team looks good, but preseason means NOTHING.

Well, it does in terms of preparation, because we wouldn't be playing D'Antoni's system without preseason.

preseason games don't mean much... we all saw Jamal look like he was completely lost & then tonite he comes out & looks awesome while outplaying an All NBA player in Wade... Yi Jianlian looked completely clueless in preseason action & tonite he looked pretty damn effective scoring 17 pts in the Nets win over Washington... u can't judge guys based on preseason action... judge them when the games really matter.
