Basketball-related feelings aside, hopefully he gets himself right. This ain't the way to check out.

Hopefully he ecovers and can move on with his life.

Surely, the demons that have been haunting him have been keeping him awake at night.

Athletes and entertainers are made out to be superheroes by the media because of the nature of their business and the money they make. But they are human and suffer from the same problems that we do.

Not sure how you can accidentally overdose on sleeping pills. Sounds like his few years with the Knicks may have taken a toll on Isiah after all.

Hopefully he can recover and put this behind him. There's more to life than basketball.

Man, i feel sry for the guy i hope he gets better. Must be tough to go through what he is dealing with this year, or maybe it was just an accidental incident from mixing it with alchohol or other meds. Either way i hope he's all right and gets the help he needs.

MSNBC confirmed it. I wish him a recovery and hope his friends reached out to him. Don't Houston and Jamal live by him. Jamal will be real down on this. I wonder what's Dolan and Walsh's reaction.

So...what's the truth here, fellas? Isiah? Daughter? Other household guest? Let's not jump to conclusions just yet.

Former Knicks coach Isiah Thomas was taken to the hospital early today after overdosing on sleeping pills at his Westchester home, a source told The Post.

Thomas, 47, was taken to White Plains Hospital Center after Harrison police and an ambulance crew were summoned to his Purchase home at about midnight.

Police refused to specify if Thomas was the one taken to the hospital, but did say that the victim was a "46-year-old male" who had swallowed sleeping pills.

When reached at his home, Thomas said his daughter had been taken to the hospital - not him.

"None of us are OK. My daughter is very down right now," he told The Post, adding that the incident "wasn't an overdose" and had occurred at school.

Barry Watkins, a spokesman for Madison Square Garden, said, "Isiah is fine."

He declined further comment, saying it was a family matter.

Thomas bought a home in the quiet and upscale enclave four years ago for a whopping $4.075 million.

Thomas, who was relieved of his duties as team president and coach last April 18, remains employed by the Knicks as a consultant and scout.

During the four seasons Thomas was in charge, the Knicks never won more than 33 games. He was 56-108 in two seasons as head coach.

The Knicks, who are now coached by Mike D'Antoni, are scheduled to play the New Jersey Nets tonight at Madison Square Garden in their final preseason game.

Its sad that it came to this. He should have resigned or been let go before things got so out of control. I hope he is ok.

i don't think they're allowed to give info out about ANYTHING as it relates to minors, right?

god. poor isiah and his family. the one thing you want at a time like this is privacy and it's the last thing he's gonna get.

Here's the post article Cos is talking about:

http://www.nypost.com/seven/10242008/news/regionalnews/possible_overdose_at_isiah_thomas_home___135115.htm

His daughter? Huh? I know it's the POST and all, but the first paragraph contradicts his claim.

Immediately the papers are out to lie or post the "sources" account of what happened before actually knowing what happened.

Btw, GKF......how old are you dude? You need to grow up.

To stick up for Islesfan......I don't think he's somewhere laughing about this. Islesfan was relentless here but he wasn't a scum bag.

When Marbury's father died he tried to connect it to Dolan and Isiah. But enough about that thing...

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I don't feel sorry for Isiah. Has nothing to do with growing up. It's my own personal opinion. Deal with it(and even try to respect it, I know it's hard for you). Or cry about it as usual. Your choice.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
