Most disloyal fans? LOL. Why, what are you supposed to do when the team sucks? Pretend we are actually good and walk around with a smile on your face? Last I checked, people were still going to games last year(for some unknown reason) even when the Knicks were losing by 20 a game. The difference between the Knicks and the rest of the NY teams is that the Knicks have become a national sports embarrassment while losing. Everyone else just lost. Mets fans fair-weather? Yankees fans fair-weather? Giants? Jets? Rangers? No. People support their team through the good times and bad but not many are going to be out in public wearing a Lee jersey or something. A Ewing jersey? Sure. In this town, the good is celebrated. The bad is mourned and ignored.

A loyal fan doesnt give up on his team and stop watching when they suck. Maybe some people call it fair weather fans, or front running, or something else. To me its being a disloyal fan. If I can suck up all the BS from the last few years, then anybody can. Hey, were still all here right?

I don't believe anyone stops being a fan. It's just not the same feeling as it is when you're winning. I personally would probably get depressed if I wore Knicks gear now because it reminds me of a time when we were actually good. It also comes with the feeling that you get. I'm sure more people would feel better and proud to wear a Knicks jersey if they were somewhat respectable.

Nobody turns their back on the team here. They just pay attention silently rather than the good'ol obnoxious New York way. That's why there were so many Yankee and Met fans all these years talking trash and there still are. When both teams were good, the entire city was in a craze. When the Knicks were at the top, baseball took a backseat. Watching a game at the Garden was an intense experience every night. When the Rangers won the Stanley Cup, people went completely nuts.

The city just wants something to root for. The Knicks don't provide much of that. The only teams that do right now are the Giants and Rangers. The Jets are still the Jets apparently.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

There are tons of Knicks fans out there. Many of my friends are Knicks fans. If they win just a few games all of a sudden everyone will come out of the woodwork. The problem is that we now have had several terrible seasons in a row. All of the problems combined with the through the roof ticket prices have turned people off of the Knicks. Winning will cure all of that when it finally happens again.

personally i think if u guys wanna classify fans that stop going to games when their teams suck for a while as bandwagoners then that's probably true for every team in professional baseball (except maybe Cubs fans).

St. Louis fans fill that park whether the Cardinals are good or bad. Gotta throw them in there.
