Why would you be afraid to watch Friday's game? That's just showing everyone that you have no confidence and as long as we have no confidence in our guys, then they will never have confidence themselves. The Knicks are very capable of beating bastan-bastards. Don't be a sissy dude. Just in case you forgot: The knicks beat the Celtics in pre-season last year. Here are a few quotes following that game "fans in NY have high expectations for their young, talented squad" "The mood here in New York is one of anticipation and optimism as the Knicks' home opener against the Timberwolves approaches" - Knicks-Celtics: A Rivalry Renewed http://bleacherreport.com/articles/3107-knicks-celtics-a-rivalry-renewed ......then the regular season and a reality check Celtics light up Knicks 11/30/07. Final score 105-59 http://www.boston.com/sports/articles/2007/11/30/celtics_light_up_knicks/ ....and by 1/22/08, optimism is completely gone for the rest of the year. Season over, turn out the lights. Knicks (13-28) on the season Celtics End Knicks’ Modest Winning Trend 1/22/08 in a 109-93 rout http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/22/sports/basketball/22knicks.html [Edited by - Rookie on 10-17-2008 10:44 AM] [Edited by - Rookie on 10-17-2008 10:45 AM] |

You hear that Boston--FORMIDABLE
Seriously Boston isnt even trying and theyve won 4-5. I want to see how the big men play tonight as there will be two waves of big men who are bigger people for the most part. Let's see JC wake up for this game as well. RIP Crushalot😞

Someone's going to have to educate me on this "rivalry" we have with the Celtics. Outside of THAT GAME last year and some run-ins with Bird and friends in the playoffs back in the day, what history do we have with them? Or this solely just a New York/Boston thing?

Posted by K22: we had some heated games when Bernard king was a Knick. he used to destroy the celtics and almost singlehandedly beat them in the playoffs. It was a brief rivalry. Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser...............

The Celtics must hate us because Doc Rivers sat out the big 3 just so they can play the Knicks tonite.

Posted by tkf:Posted by K22: Boston sucked for the better part of 16 years and were only getting to be good when we began our decline. Its as much their fault that we don't have a real rivalry anymore than it is ours. MOSTLY the rivalry is between the fans of the cities.. perpetuated by the Yanks-Sawx conflagrations. lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'm curious to see how the new offense fairs against a top defensive team. I'm curious to see how Chan does against the likes of PP. To be honest we don't have an answer for KG or Ray Allen, but I'm more concerned with our competitive effort. We know they're way better, but we need to see some better defensive execution and better 4th qtr performances.

Posted by tkf:Posted by K22: He beat them in some playoff games but never won a series. Came close in 84 when we took them to 7 games. I remember when Cornbread Maxwell said King aint scoring 40 on me....and King proceded to drop 40 at the garden. We had some good games against them in the late 80's early 90's aswell. Who can forget the series when we beat them and Ewing put the icing on the cake with the fall away 3 in the corner....AT BOSTON GARDEN.... |
