I like Curry. However, I will say that I prefer Thai-style curry (with coconut milk) over Indian curry. But both can be good.

Briggs, do you really have faith in Curry? Getting in shape alone is huge for him. The last time he was in shape was his last season in Chicago, and even then, he wasn't in the greatest of shape. He's never played in a running style. He NEEDS to play defense AND rebound, b/c if he can't, he'll be on the bench. How else do you initiate the fast break?

If Curry gets in shape, magically becomes a rebounder/defender/shotblocker and can somehow learn to move around the perimeter, which he never has, then i'll give you credit for having faith in him. I don't have faith in him though. He shouldn't be on the team.

I have renewed faith in ALL of the current players that should and will be on the roster when the season starts. That includes Mr. Curry!
I'll never trust this' team again.

I dont think Curry with ever be svelt. At 25 all he has to do is get up and down the floor well. He can do that hard for 20 minutes. I think that will benefit him and make him more hungry for extra PT as well./

yeah, when the Bulls won 48 games or so in Curry's last season there before he came to the knicks, he only played the first and third quarters and still scored 16ppg. i think the knicks can use him in a similar role.

What I don't understand is 'why are people down on Curry, when he hasn't even played one game in D'Antoni's system yet'? I say give him a chance to prove himself. Every other player seems to be responding well to the new system. Even Marbury. It might actually turn Curry into the kind of center we been needing for the last several years.

I'm for just about every player in this new system. As soon as they throw houston off the team, I'll be much more satisfied, knowing real change has finally arrived.
because every year he's been in the league he's never been in good enough shape to contribute to winning basketball, except his one contract year, and he took so many diet pills or ephedra or whatever his ticker took a crap on him.

Curry is one 'in shape body' away from beig what he can be. And it will be enough to fit our needs. It's like working part-time, so it's the easiest job he'll have.
I'll never trust this' team again.

he showed up completely out of shape after a miserable season last year & he's already missed a couple games w/sickness, plus his contract is another killer in 2010... can't blame people for being down on the guy.

That's understandable. I'm give him a completely new slate myself. I expect some surprises from him and company. I think throwing up, being rushed to the hospital, still being sick and what his teammates have done in the first two preseasons will wake him to what he's in for and he has to be ready.

No more isiah vacations on this team. It's D'Antoni 'work or your out'.
I'll never trust this' team again.

i'm all for giving him a chance cuz i don't see him as a disruption to the team overall, but i am really disappointed the guy didn't take his conditioning seriously in the offseason, especially after the year he had last season... even Marbury showed up in shape... come on Eddy, get off ur ass & start taking this game seriously!

He'll do it. The key is to run him barefoot like a dog in the mountains, until he stops throwing up. And you just know D'Antoni ain't going to give nobody a free pass. He'll either pass into his potential or die like a helpless little calf left all alone in the woods, amongst the wolves and grizzly bears who'll have better use of him.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He had a clean slate. It got dirty already when he showed up out of shape. He doesn't get new clean slate every month.
