Dell Curry had the quickest release I have ever seen but Hodges was also good.

Curry was a better player, but you must have seen Hodges on a bad day!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

So its a leg muscle, hopefully that'll heal soon. Hopefully it won't set him back much, and even if its like 10-15 mins a game he is still the best 3 point shooter on the team(in the NBA maybe?) so yeah i think he'd be able to conribute very nicely even if he is not the 1st or 2nd person running down the court every time. He doesn't need to run to the hoop in 7 seconds, just the 3 point line

Set him back??? Every time I hear this guys name, I get very negative! It's a joke he's even back and given another chance! Never did I think for a moment I'd have to address him trying out for this team again. Talk about going backwards! I don't care if he can shoot from mid court. I want this excuse of an athlete out!!!

Man, i dunno if you are still holding a grudge against H2O cause of that contract or because he is trying to be all that he can be ? Seriously why not give the dude a chance? MDA is known for enabling guys to play their way into the NBa after being out for years( Grant Hill) and Houstons game is exactly what this team needs. I mean there are 5 mins left in the game, we are down by 5 , H20 checks in, hits a couple of 3's or stretches the d enough so that others can make the needed cuts to the basket or maybe make the d take attention off of guys like Nate , Chandler, Lee = scoring opportunities. Thats what its all about isn't it? Spread the floor, get some good looks at the basket- who is better on our current team at providing that right now?

D isn't nearly as much of a concern so H2o is a better fit on this team than he was on our 1999 team even if he is slower and a worse defender than he was back then. He can win us games, no reason for him not to give his best and make the team- this is not last year afterall.
Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair

why does it matter if Allan tries out for the team? If he can't play he'll get cut. IF he can still play then we just added a great shooter to the roster. Why would this bother anyone?

Who here seems bothered?

The only thing that bothers me are people's unrealistic expectations for a retired, over the hill, out of condition, broken player trying to make it in a young man's system. It's a far fetched notion, at best, that he can contribute in any significant way on the floor.

But I think it's quaint that he's giving it a go.

4949 is clearly bothered by the fact that he is even here.

I haven't heard too many people expecting much from Allan, but I'm sure there are some out there. I think it's clear to most that he has a slim outside shot of making the team. And if he happens to make it he will be a locker room prescence that can provide us with some outside shooting for very short minutes. What's wrong with that expectation? If he doesn't make the team he goes to the front office and we move on. If he makes the team, he's a good influence. I'm not even sure why this is an issue? Him being in camp is not going to have any negative effect on the long-term success of this team. But the attempt and the old school work ethic may actually have a positive effect on our young guys.

My bad, I didn't catch 4949's posts.

For the record, there is nothing wrong with Allan being on or around the team. Just don't expect him to play much.

It seems just a matter of time before Allan Houston is released and reassigned to the front office.

Houston, 37, battling a quad strain, is out indefinitely. He will miss tonight's game against the Sixers and Friday's game in Boston. Houston, who has yet to play, revealed he pulled the quad muscle one week before training camp opened, keeping it a secret.

The shot is always the last to go. If he can't do any of the other things then he should just have a role with the team that allows him to practice until he is ready.
