For the record Allanfan, even though I advocate Allan Houston making this roster, this still doesn't change my opinion that he is a softy.

For the record Bip, even though I advocate Charlie Ward becoming an assistant coach for this roster, this still doesn't change the fact that he is talentless.

i think that's the question we have for about 90% of the guys on this roster... personally i'd much rather watch H20 stroking jumpers than watching Q shooting up bricks left & right (that is if Q's gonna play the way he did last year again)

I would say that if they put H2O in a limited role--control his minutes off the bench--he can give a positive contribution.

I want to see him in an actual 5 on 5 - I think he looked good by himself but you cant tell much from that.

it may have taken him 2-3 years to really heal. It took me two

if he could stay healthy he would be huge for us. Remember MD doesnt worry about size. He would play Chandler at center if he thought it would outscore the other team.

You had an ACL, this is cartilage, and that doesn't "heal" per se in adults. Healing would mean it would grow back and it just doesn't happen. I bet he is either gobbling painkillers, or he has developed an incredible resistance to pain.

The real test is the NBA season which is hard on the knees of 19 year old kids let alone 36 year old broken down SG's off of 2-3 surgeries.

But I've liked Houston since he was in college and I wish the best for him. If he can come back and hit his shot the same way he used to, I don't care if he plays no defense he is better than Crawford.

Actually the whole point of Microfracture surgery is to promote or force the body to produce more cartilage. It has proven to be an effective procedure, but for an athlete who is going to abuse that joint it many not be enough. Walking and playing with your kids yeah, but he'll be doing much more than that. Still other players have comeback and played well, so it could be done.
