I love this. No one feels safe. And wasn't this the problem under the Old regime, guys come in out of shape, didn't defend, hustle and still kept their starting roles. Now guys will have to compete, and fight for spots.. I love it..

is it time to resurrect the "eddy is fat" thread?

Is there ever a bad time?

You mean to tell me Curry is still fat!?

My god, I'm surprised.

It's okay though because MikeD makes everyone awesome. Everyone is poised to have a career year! Strap on your seat belts! It's going to be a wild ride!!!!

MAN!!! If he's over 300 lbs now, what the heck was his playing weight last season? I mean he clearly looked thinner in the face than he did at the end of last season, so that means he was way over 300 last year. I mean come on!!! Just another bit of proof that Isiah had just given up. When you no longer demand anything from players and they don't feel compelled to prepare even if it's just out of pride, then you've truly lost that team.

Isiah got exactly what he should have expected out of guys like Zach, Marbury, Eddy, Jamal, Jerome, and company, given their track records.

You know what's funny if you think about it -- we know Donnie told Marbury "come back in the best shape of your life" and to the guy's credit, it looks like he did just that. He understood the importance of what Walsh told him and he listened. Now you know Donnie had to have said something similar to Eddy Curry, especially since Curry's weight & conditioning ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. So what gives? Camp is about to start and it's clear Walsh/D'A aren't happy with the shape he's in. D'Antoni: "Could be better, could be worse." WTF is that ****? Did Eddy not listen to what Walsh undoubtedly told him to do? Probably. Curry will never take this stuff seriously. Very frustrating.....
That's a very good point. Marbury is in shape and ready to play physically. Eddy isn't. Q also was said to have lost weight. I wonder about Zach? He was one of the first in pre-camp and was working out. Has he also taken D'A seriously? I hope so.

D'A said he was going to work the team hard starting on the first day of practice. Should be interesting to see Eddy trying to run up and down the court.

Where did you hear he was the first in pre camp. Lee, Marko Jaric, Duhon, and Jared were the only ones that worked out here this summer. Zach came in last week when they have voluntary camp.

I said "One of the first"; NOT "the first". And by "pre-camp" I meant voluntary camp as you put it. Before the official start.

Don't dwell on the semantics. The point is that Zach was in camp early and working out with the other players!

Biggest question of the day: Why did anyone think he would come into camp in shape?

Fool me once shame on you, fool me, fool me, you can't get fooled again. Or something like that. Personally I'm not disappointed because I had no expectation of the guy being in shape in the first place. This is just Eddie, and he's exactly who we traded for.

I think you are going for fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I guess everyone missed the George Bush video
I just hope that people will like me
