He did a good thing by posting these racist comments. These people are popping off and hiding behind the annoonyminty of the internet. By exposing their emails and ip addreses they may be forced to answer for their racist beliefs. If they are popping off from a job account the employer may not want to be associated with such comments. I can't imagine the person using a military account not having a price to pay.

The only thing he did was attempt to take the heat off of a player he has invested tens of millions of dollars in. If he was a front office employee my bet is Cuban fires his arse. I consider e-mails private and he made them public. Does it alter the fact that these Yahoos are idiots? No but anyone who hs Internet access knows there are a ton of Yahoos and theycome from any race creed or color. Josh Howard may have his own thoughts on particular matters and he should keep them that way--private. I'm black and I can smoke weed and fck the National Anthem--nice message that you are sending to youth. Nice message you are sending those who died so that you can live free and prosperous. And personally anyone who is condoning his actions just doesnt get it. You're hiding behind the word black. I think at the very least if you have respect for the law and the nation you are RESPECTING those who have DIED for you MILLIONS of people. If things went different ways many years ago--you wouldnt even be here. The National Anthem is respect for our military and those who don't respect out military and their sacrifice should get the F out. I'm not talking about George Bush here either--he IS na arsehole and should be PROSECUTED for various atrocities. It's been embarassing to be an AMErican these last 8 years. Im talking about the 19 year old kid who had his life taken away whether it was 2008 1969 1941 1910 etc... if you don't have respect for those people you are trash.

But Briggs that can go both ways. Many blacks, out of deference and respect to those before them, wont honor a flag that in essence symbolizes cruel treatment at the hands of whites.
I dont want to get into yet another back-and-forth on race, but I hope you viewpoints can become a little two-dimensional. Yes, Howard is an unprofessional jackass. Yes, this isnt good for P.R and fan relations, but some here are missing the point, whether intentional or unintentional.
Slavery, Jim Crow, Civil rights movement. How can we get all starry-eyed at God Bless America? I was reading a book on WWII and there is a chapter about Black soldiers and how GERMAN P.O.W's actually had more rights and were treated with more respect among the American military personnel, than actual American Black soldiers. WOW!
All that stuff is real and its not to be forgotten just because you want Blacks to get over it. Those e-mails are just a small reflection of the hostility we consistently face.
