The Liberty provide a nice bridge between NBA seasons. The WNBA's not bad at all if you watch it for what it is instead of expecting the same level of play in the NBA. The players around the league are easier to like too.
The Liberty have always had some beat chicks though. The ones they've got now look like a prison gang. Kym used to look a lot better before she added a whole person to her waistline. She's Sumo status nowadays. Lobo's pregnant every time I see her now. Becky's cute but she changed when she started getting a little shine. She's also starting to look a little old in the face. T-Spoon pulls better tail than most NBA cats. Partied with her a few times over the years - crazy cool ass chick right there. They need to get a new GM though. Dolan doesn't give a **** though so she's got job security for life. Too bad they'll be playing in Jersey next year. |

They are moving to New Jersey? Is this b/c of the garden renovations?

Yeah. They're supposed to be playing at The Rock for the next two years. It was either there, Hofstra or Nassau Coliseum.
They were supposed to be playing at The Rock this year for the Eastern Conference Finals since the Rangers have a pre-season game on Thursday, but Dolan actually stepped in and cooperated with the league to move the game to Friday in addition to being willing to do it again for any subsequent championship games if they get that far. Detroit's pissed because they're the team with home court advantage, yet they have to play the Liberty at EMU (70 miles away) instead of the Palace because of a Janet Jackson concert. LA will also be playing at USC instead of Staples for the western conference finals but they actually prefer it since they're familiar with the facility and the crowd will look better on TV. If the league wants to survive, they can't keep having teams play musical arenas. |
