Eny,

Those box cars are perhaps the low point for american car industry. It was during this time that the Japanese built cars proved themselves.

what is it your going for? Dempendable transportation? MPG? you gonna drive it or look at it? where are you going to park it?

I'd get the lowest mileage honda accord and enjoy the benefits of low costs to keep it running, good mpg. If its on the street, then get one with paint already "worn" on it.

And dont' buy it in the metro area, go to carmax in like north carolina, inland and get one clean. Not some bronx beater with 20 airfreshners in it.

Anybody here into vehicles?

I personally don't drive......but I'm planning on buying a car probably in febuary.....I want a motorcycle also......

Post some of your favorite rides....rides you recommend....maybe some cars you own......some driving stories.....into customizing?

I peronally want an old 87' Monte Carlo or a 87' Buick regal.....I'm into old school cars or at least from this era...box like cars.

that all depends on ur budget broham... i'm looking into getting the new A4 by next year... that joint looks pretty tight & i've always had a thing for Audi's.

right now i'm still driving that srt4 rice rocket of mine... pretty quick but the drawback is i get all these caca's trying to race me everywhere i go, even when i don't even want to... they just hear my exhaust go off & think i'm trying to race their azzes... i used to be into import tuning back in the day w/a 2nd gen Eclipse but my Dodge is stock... but because it's loud outta the box i still get hassled by the cops cuz it sounds like it's got an aftermarket exhaust

i wanna get a bike too but i ain't got no health insurance right now so that's definitely not happenin'... if i could get one i'd get this bad azz sumbiznotch:

I love Audis and I wanted to buy one.

The only thing is that I have on street parking at my place and the guy around the corner from me got his Audi stolen a few months ago. So until I move I don't plan on buying anything.

But eventually when I want this one:

The 2002 Audi A4 1.8T
I want go with a used one only because I don't want deal with car payments and would buy it out right. Does anyone know someone who owns this model and if you do how did they like it does it run well? I plan on taking my ex when I buy my car because he knows a ton about cars and will make sure I don't get ripped off lol.

Audi's aren't exactly known for their reliability unfortunately... at least this is what i hear from all my friends who have owned one... because they are made by Volkswagen now & use many of the same parts, u may run into some of the same problems i had when i owned my Jetta & GTi, namely faulty coilpacks, bad automatic window regulator solenoids, & bad water pumps... i would read up on some of the Audi owner forums & see if the '02 models are susceptible to these same problems before i bought one used if i were u... u don't wanna go through the nightmare i had w/my '01 GTi that i bought used a while back... i ended up spending over $3K to fix the damn thing in the span of only a year... eventually ended up selling it at a loss & then buying my SRT4 new, & haven't regretted it for a second... haven't had any issues w/my current car since i've had it other than normal wear & tear kinda stuff, & it's running over 110K miles after only 4.5 years (yeah, i drove the farg outta that thing)

eventually i plan on leasing the new A4 so i won't have to worry too much about overall maintenance when it gets older... plus, i just gotta have that car... look at those vicious looking headlights!

Yea I know Volkswagen are kinda of crappy few of my friends have had nothing but problems with their Volks. Most likely the next place I move won't be too far from my job so I doubt I'll have to make more then a 15 min drive to work so I won't have to much wear and tear on it.

That car is hot!

I had a 2003 BiTurbo allroad (A6 avant) which had adjustable suspension and all kinds of high tech things.........had a manual trans and I loved it! Great for the 3 years I had it.

Great car, no problems!

Bitty, we got something in common!!!!! That new A4 is a great ride btw!!

Audi's in Europe are just as thought of as BMWs and actaually ahead of Mercedes.

When I'm in Europe they have all kinds of Audi that you don't see often or at all here. And their SUV is pretty sweet. But if I had no budget the car I would get is the Audi R8 convertible it's work of art.
or the Bentley continental.

don't forget the "No Fear" stickers & "Type R" badges... those take at least a half second off your quarter miles.
