6 rebounds in 24 mpg isn't all too shabby... in games where he had an extended run over 30 minutes he put up double digit rebounds several times last season... he's not as instinctual a rebounder as D Lee is but he'll at least be willing to mix it up to go get them, unlike Eddy who just grabs whatever falls right into his lap while he parks himself under the rim.

Darko rebounds are pretty good. That's the problem with him, he is a better defender than offensive player right now in his career. My hope is that he has fully recover from is injury (I don't trust Knick doctors). Jaric serves no purpose here, Crittenton from GT is the way to go. Walsh shouldn't accept a deal without him and the fact he has to pay Zack's deferred money as well. What the hell does Wallace want with Lowry, Crittenton and Mayo?

BTW, I can't believe Lee's agent is not making a bigger fuss about not having extension before going to training camp.

Bringing up Rubio very important......

Why?

Because this is the guy the Knicks should be praying and clawing to get.....

I hope the hold up with this trade isn't over including one of those mediocre point guards. Nate is better than any point guard on Memphis!

Brandon Jennings, Rubio, or whoever breaks out in the future.....I'd take the short dude playing for Syracuse too. If Donnie wants to be patient, he should do so with his next move. This Memphis deal should be done already.

Said it some month ago and will continue to say it until the 2009 draft!!!
Ricky Rubio should be our future PG!!!!!!!

The short dude from Syracuse's father and our families grew up next to each other as kids in the projects. The kids name is Jonny Flynn.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

How old is Johnny Flynn? I may be confusing him with someone else, but it seems like he has been a Syracuse for 8 years.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I would be quite happy with the performance line I put up, but I'm hoping that he can be more productive offensively. He turned 23 during the summer- if he can give us 2 decent years, we might even think about resigning him for less money in 2010, and if he does well with D'Antoni he might be willing to take the cut in pay.

People have to stop looking at Milicic as the #2 pick in the draft. If you look at him as a shot blocking reserve center who can fit into the flow of the offense, grab a few rebounds, limit the foolish decisions, and give you 30MPG at times, he suddenly becomes a valuable asset for this team.

...And Jaric is not the stiff people make him out to be. He is an intelligent player who does a little of everything. He is not going to be playing 35 MPG, or make the highlight reel, but I think there is a good chance he will be in the rotation by the end of the year.

I think that Memphis won't make the trade if we don't take Jaric.

I would love to pick up Lowry, and would be more than willing to give them Collins, who is not going to fit into D'Antoni's plans, IMO.

re: Lee- I would think that the Knicks want to see how he looks this year and whether D'Antoni can use him in a system which values offensive versatility. I really hope he has worked on his midrange game because I want him to stick around.

The "only" bad thing about Milicic is that his basketball IQ is even worse than Curry or Zach. But for sure he is talented, and he "can" do everything well.

You guys are getting your hopes up talking as if the deal is almost done. My guess is that Memphis will try to get us to throw in something we don't want to because they know we are desperate. As a knick fan I've learned to expect the worst. I'm guessing that Memphis is asking for something that the papers don't know about

according to newsday, they're asking for a first rounder.

Hell no. I'd rather watch Eddy and Zach start all season than deal another first rounder.

To get that 1st rounder, are they willing to send back one of those PGs they have?

That's still not worth it and I like Crittenton. But not enough for a high first round pick maybe Mayo or Gay. I know I'm dreaming.

That's why it's tough to trade after years and years of LayMos. Teams no we are desperate to get rid of some of these guys and can ask for almost anything. I'm sure the negotiations consist of far more than what is being reported in the papers.

Booooh... this trade where we send them Zach, AND a 1st rounder AND take on Jaric's deal in 2010, AND make the deferred payments is a straight up steal for Memphis.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The DeIsiahization of this team is going very well in the short period of time.

No to First rounders unless they take some of our roster (mardy) and give us back Conley if he deems as fitting.

what happened to all the guys on this forum who claimed we could easily get back a 1st round pick & an expiring for Zach if we waited?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
