Ostertag is better than any of the current Knick center,so i wont mind if he joins the roster but he would have to be our last choice.

What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

NY8 Dampier's contract is FAT !!!
What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

Keon Clark just got traded to the Jazz for a second round pick... now there's a guy we could use but Layden doesn't have the imagination to pull off a deal as relatively simple as this...

The only way I could understand a trade for Ostertag would be if it were to open up roster spots & to get rid of Weatherspoon, Eisley, and/or Anderson's contracts. But Layden better not ship a first round pick to Utah!

if this is true about keon, then layzie is the biggest a**hole. especially for just a second round pick. this better not be true. we could have easily given our two second round pick from next year. keon would have been worth it. more than ostertag.

Utah is waaaay under tha cap, so they can take Keon's contract without sending one back in return. The Knicks are over the cap so they would have to send back an equal amount in contracts for the trade to work according to the collective bargaining agreement. Sacramento did that trade strictly for luxury tax reasons & there's no way Layden could have done that trade.

That is correct and this was a salary dump move by the Kings... so it is unlikely the Knicks would have had a chance... this is the extent of the corner Layden has placed us in... no free agents and very unlikely to pull off the simplest of trades.

Anyway im happy not to see him in a Knick Uni.I would rather see Ostertag but my first options would be Dampier then Lafrentz.

What Keon Clark said was that he preferred not to play for a team in a cold weather city. Bet he wished he had signed with the Knicks now that he's in freaking Utah!

Why not just bring Felton Spencer back so we could have the biggest team in the league. YEa, yea, we could play van horn at the point kurt thomas at shooting guard Othella Harrington at the small forward, Felton Spencer at power forward and a little ostertag at center...

Bigger doesnt always equal Winner

Question: Why would Utah, who is looking to sign players, lock up there salaries with no-good players from the knicks?

UTAH needs a PG, EISLY & HARRINGTON for OSTERTAG. HARRINGTON is in the final yr of his contract & then can use EISLY who came from UTAH anyway.

I like it. I don't know if Utah would take Eisley back though. He was being booed everytime we played there.
