Contract will be a big key in trading with Europe. Do they have the same restrictions as the NBA where trades has to be done money-for-money? Does the NBA even regulate this or is it just a matter team-trades-to-another-team kinda scenario and NBA team just makes sure they are under the CAP and the NBA team sign the player as a free agent. Where would the union stand? A lot of questions and I doubt this will happen in the near future.
When we get players from Europe its a buyout deal as long as they've been drafted at some point right? I don't know how they draft over there, but it sure seems like buying a player out of his deal would be cheaper than what they're doing now.
