I hope he's gone but I think he's still on the official roster on opening night.

his teammates are plenty sick of Marbury's act, there've been guys on the team anonymously quoted in the papers saying as much... ain't no way D'Antoni can establish his own credibility w/this team & still have Marbury on the roster... he's gotta go.

Or he could name him captain and give him more reponsibility in the hope that this will turn him into a leader :)

perhaps award him w/a minority share in the franchise for all the memorable quotes he's given us over the years... it's the least we can do.

Keep the ideas going, that's a good one. I think a partial ownership stake will finally turn his career around. Perhaps we can also force his teammates to call him Starbury. Marbury or should I say Starbury will be so flattered by this team wide acceptance that he will be compelled to reward them with unparalleled leadership. Oh and don't forget to throw in a new truck.

Let's get this done. Call Isiah and find the best way to go about this.

Will they be younger, youthier trucks?

every Knick should take the court on opening night with a -3 tattooed on their domes as a show of solidarity in support of their leader.

Marbury's hold the ball and pound it into the ground style of play is exactly what Steve Nash was asked to do in D'antoni's system. It was a point guard driven system.

I believe Marbs can funtion in the offense. I'm talking about the Marbs we had in the Lenny Wilkins season. That Marbs was still an all-nba talent at point guard. Larry and Isiah wanted Marbs to be Eric Snow.

Right now we are all tired of the drama surrounding him and Isiah. Isiah brought in all the confusion including everything surrounding Marbs. Marbs also had a breakdown before our eyes. A lot of it may have been triggered by Isiah.

Anyway, isiah isn't here so is it wishful thinking to expect Marbs to have a breakout season under this new atmosphere? new management? Totally new coaching?

If Marbs was waived and signed with Miami and gets 20/8.....would any of us even care? Chances are none of us would.

I think his contract should in fact be waived unless there is reason to believe someone significant will become available.....I don't even think Donnie is even thinking that way.

And all that after Isiah said this:
"He and I and all of New York City know where I stand with him and where he stands with me. In my neighborhood, we say: 'We don't get down like that. We don't roll like that.'"

Marbury, Thomas said, has "never been in play," and the Knicks will "never put him in play."

Of course, that was before Isiah had to try to coach this knucklehead.

Actually, I'd sort of like to see Marbs hang around, and see how long it takes him to get D'Antoni fired.

I agree, it would be nice to see him put another notch in his bed post.
