Anyone that has a problem with this trade doesn't know football. This is a NO risk trade. At worst we give up a 4th rnd pick. At best if we make it to the super bowl we give up a #1 which at that point is like a #2 pick. Pennington sucked-you can't win football games throwing the ball 10 yards a play. This trade makes the Jets a relevant football team .I don't care about the PR move , it makes them a legitimate football team. Every Sunday they have a real QB able to play against any team. This is not a trade of an over-the-hill player, this guy can still play and has a gun for an arm. The only risk is making this move so late towards the season but the Jets had no choice.
Well good to know I apparently know nothing about football, but be that as it may I dont know where you get off saying that a 39 year old isnt over-the-hill, what is he in his prime?
No surprise that the owner pushed this as, once again, this is a media relations play and a financial improvement situation. If Farve plays at all then this instantly becomes a third round pick. Thats well within the range of finding an All-Pro.
Ewing - Orlando Magic
OJ - 49ers
Mays - Mets
Montana - Chiefs
Namath - Rams
Emmitt - Arizona
Clyde - Cavaliers
Jordan - Wizards
The time honored tradition continues. The Jets should concentrate on trying to find the next Farve, rather than this transparent play at grabbing for the back of the page. What a joke.
My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.
