For their 2009 1st round pick and Deandre Jordan. That gives the Clippers the quality third man upfront and hedges them against injury.

Rather than just 'dumping' Lee like they did with Balkman, I think we should think about packaging him with Curry, if the assumption is we are stuck with Zach & Zach fits better in D'Antoni's system than Curry.

Curry & Lee for a decent first rounder and legit, unflashy vet shouldn't be a bad deal - someone like a Reggie Evans.

Also, Briggs, as far as not wanting to pay Lee, personally, I partly agree, but the problem I have is I'd rather pay Lee than Zach or Curry, so its tough for me to accept trading someone like Lee while we still have Zach & Curry on this squad.

I would not call Deandre Jordan and an a LA Clipper # 1 pick in 2009 any kind of dump. Jordan should've been a top 20 pick and the LA Clippers wont be better than 16-18 and probably more like 10-14. Its a shot at getting two lottery picks our own and theirs plus adding a very nice 7 foot athletic prospect who can play some right now.

I just think before we give up Lee for 2 players who 'might' be good, we might wait and see if some other player becomes available that has proven to be a good NBA player.

Granted, we are so bad we need to play the lotto to try to find an all star talent.

How things would be different if we had picked Bynum instead of French Frye!

Why not do our first round pick with zach for camby and Tim Thomas

Camby/Curry
Thomas/Lee
Chandler/Gallo
Crawford/Q
Duhon/Nate

Buy out Marbury and make a midseason salary dump deal with Camby going to San Antonio for their first round pick or something similiar, we are going to suck no matter what so why not get creative

thank you Isiah and Marbury. It's weird, PHO would probably have done the trade without getting the pick from NY. In fact, NY could have ASKED for a couple of first rounders. Damn.

Unless the pick was like 25 I would not add in a first round pick to get rid of Randolph. I want us to gain assets while maintaining salary flexibility. I really like the way Jordan played in the pro set and the Clippers will never have a pick lower than 16-18 at worst. It could end up in a scenario where we have Zach Randolph and Jefferies + change which would put us in the FA market in 2010 anyway if he's here. If I received Deandre Jordan and a pick between 10-18 I would be very happy.

I don't know how the Clips feel about Lee, but it sounds like a reasonable deal for us. If the Clips are hesitating, we could take their 2010 pick instead. I like Lee, but the impression that i have is that Donnie and Mike want Gallo to add muscle and develop into our starting 4 while Chandler continues to improve at the 3. If that's the case, I don't think Lee will want to stay here.

While Galo will grow muscle and Chan will work on next LeBron coming Lee will retire his number with NY at age 35...

i would do that in a NY min!!! especially because their pick is gonna be high enough and Lee is gonna walk anyway, I think.
