Knicks would do this deal for the same reason they made this trade for Bobby Jones to begin with... & please don't use that 2nd rounder as any piece here, u can buy 2nd rounders for nothing every year of every draft... if we wanted to open up a roster spot that badly we coulda just simply bought out Turd, it's not like he's ever gonna be a tradeable commodity anyways so we're stuck paying his contract regardless.

Actually, I don't understand why the 2nd round pick is being used. It was purchased for cash consideration. The deal is Balkman for Green and Jones.
