i would much rather acquire Sean Will than Marcus Will at this point... i wouldn't trade D Lee for either of them tho.

I'm sure the Knicks can lure Williams.... With a couple of laptop computers!

dunno if NJ would do that or if the Knicks would for that matter... i think NJ is looking to package those guys for an established veteran PF at reasonable dollars but not sure D Lee fits the bill for what they're looking for.

We can say what we want about Lee, but I think he has proven he can stick in this league - not sure any of the guys the nets are looking to trade have done the same.

Besides- there is no way we will trade with anyone in the division.

Okay, let's trade 3 laptops to the Nets for him!

Are you saying Marcus Williams is threatening to lead the league in steals?

Marcus Williams sent to Golden State for future 1st rounder. Guess there is people around the league who think he's more than a "hamburger"

Marcus Is Gone

By FRED KERBER

Well, so much for fighting for his job.

Point guard Marcus Williams, who recently vowed to fight for his minutes after the Nets acquired Keyon Dooling, is headed to Golden State for a future first round pick. The trade will be announced later today.

The pick is lottery protected for 2011 – so the Nets get it if the Warriors are in the playoffs. If it goes to 2012, the pick is protected 1-to-11. It’s protected 1-to-10 for 2013. If it is not conveyed by 2013, the Nets s\get second rounders in 2013 and 2015.

I'd say bring him here, I still think he'd be good for D'Antoni, because he's a better shooter than he showed last year. With Doodoo here already though, I guess that takes us out of the running as well.

I told people from day one Knicks should have drafted Marcus Williams instead of Balkman. Yet people still feel Balkman has more value for reasons unknown to man.

That's two point guards that the Knicks passed up in Bayless and Marcus Williams.

If the Knicks get Hinrich, they should change the team's name to "The New York Bulls"

He should be really good on the Warriors and it was a cost-effective move. If he sticks to what he does best--getting the ball to the open man and moving the break and hitting the open J---he will do very well. He's healthy he's ten pounds lighter and the market for true PGs is really thin.

Its getting thinner with Williams, Dooling & Lue finding homes, but Memphis & Portland still have excess at PG. And what its worth, Tinsley is being offered to anyone who will listen.

This is kind of a strange "I told you so". From day one Marcus Williams has sucked. Who cares that we don't have him?

Well, for someone who is garbage, he still has enough value to merit a first round pick. I think Nellie ball will be a good fit for Williams.

It's actually kind of surprising that they got a first-rounder for Marcus Williams. I think you are right that he would be a good fit for Nellie-ball, he won't have to play defense and there is no such thing as a bad shot. However, will he throw the ball away every other play? Only time will tell.

It is still a strange I told you so.
