briggs, gordon didn't shoot well in a yr at indiana, he didn't shoot well in summer league, when's this guy gonna live up to the hype as being a sniper? i don't think ive seen him hit back to back shots in anything other than his high school you tube clips!
agree bayless is a stud, he takes it real hard.
philly is gonna be real good. adding elton brand and speights to their front court really gives them some depth up front, they still have dalembert and reggie evans! i agree, rodney carney sucks and thaddeus young is the truth! boy can play

Yeah, it looks like Mchale finally made a good trade even though he has a problem because neither Love or Jefferson are centers. But getting Miller and Love for Mayo, who would have duplicated McCants and Randy Foye, was a solid move.
Trust the Process

bigsmooth--if eric gordon gets it--he'll be a very nice basketball player. I think one thing you could see in the SL that you could not in CBBis just how strong he is. He can easily overpower other guards and he's strong with the dribble in the halfcourt. You're right about his jump-shot--while it can look good at times and he has magnificent FT mechanics---his J is flat beyond 12 feet and he seems to shoot better when he has some momentum into the shot. Nevertheless--those things can be altered where he relies more on a mid-range jumper and focuses more on driving[which he is great at and moving the ball]. If he moves the ball more[which he just did not do] he will shoot better. You cant shoot every-time you touch it--you'll pirse off teammates and it s just not the right way to play. What was impressive from Eric was his defense and rebounding+while he shot horrible--he was able to overpower other guards off the dribble and get to the line. If he alters his game and works on long range mechanics and team play--they got a really good basketball player there

I have only seen box scores but it looks like he is dominating.
18pts 13rebs, 18pts 17rebs
Damn - I saw the 18/13 stat line but didn't realize he followed that up with 18/17. Say what you want about the way the kid looks on the floor but he is a player. I think Memphis may have really fudged that trade. Love was perfect for that team and they throw him away along with Miller for another guard. I loved Mayo at draft time but Love would have been perfect off-set to Memphis's young athletes and would compliment Rudy Gay nicely. Now Gay will have to fight Mayo for shots. I could see that duo having some issues short term.
They got Kevin Love and Mike Miller for pick 3--that is probably good as it gets. Kevin Love and Miller compared to just OJ Mayo? This is where teams overrated guys.Kevin Love easily couldve went 3 right?
Ya'll better be careful with all of this. Seems awfully premature
