In that scenerio JJ would get all of his money

Sure about that? Maybe he would have to exercise the option first, then sign?

Either way, it's the best job in the world. Minimal work and paid millions. He's laughing all the way to the bank, thanks to you know who.
I'll never trust this' team again.

What about if there is a buyout? Can the buyout be structured in a way that he does not pick up his player option, but w pay him anyway? That would save us Luxury Tax money and take his useless 6 Million off the book a year earlier.

Give it time. These rich bums will be gone soon.
I'll never trust this' team again.

If you trade him, he will still have his player option. Our best option is to buy him out for 80% of his deal and save some money. He is owed about $11.5 mill for two years. Buy him out for $8 mil and the Knicks will save $7 million with the luxury tax hit included. THe problem is JJ1 is such a bum, that he know he probably will not get another contract to make up the difference, so he probably will not accept a buy out of anything less than the full amount he is owed.
Trust the Process
