Either way, I just pray this isn't a chronic problem.
Would be just our luck to have our lottery pick injure his back in the !@#$ first SL game.

LOL. Does it matter?

No...just pointing out that it can be spun either way.

True. Although, I find injuries like Rose and Oden as bad signs.

That collision with Tractor sure didn't help. That dude doesn't belong in a SL game.

More importantly, what was coach thinking putting Gallo on him?! Gallo is not going to play center, why do that?

Briggs this is the one shot wonder , don't say that!

Beasley was picked #2 and could have easily been #1 overall and he's still playing SL ball. Where is the percautionary measures being taken for him.

Galinari's back was injured prior to the SL game. What would be more concerning? A player being injured as a result of contact or one that became injured without contact?

The concerned was toughness by players going up against players vying for a spot on NBA rosters. Being hurt because of physical contact is a factor there.

Dallo needs to understand that when Tractor Traylor posts you up you don't stand your ground and flop. The kid got beat up cuz he tried to go toe to toe with an apartment building sized guy.

He'll learn soon enough what his role is and how to preserve his body for an 82 game season.

True, but not many of the other rookies are playing the rest of the summer in international competition. Better for him to rest all he can because it's going to be a loooooooooooooooong time till he can get another breather.

Tall people.

I had problems with my back in the eighth grade when I was on the traveling team and playing center at 6'3" so, yeah, when your body get stretched real fast your back gets beat up... not a lot of back muscle to control a lot of bone.

My point is how else will he learn unless he plays against SL COMPETITION.

The preseason is for the vets to get ready to play,ao then will be too late.

Anybody know if this kid has an history of the so called back injury in Europe ?

I agree. I respect Gallo's toughness, but their has to be a role for common sense.

Rose, Beasley, Gordon, Randolph. Just the players off the top of my head that have sustained injuries so far.

Who knew they were all European?

i don't think we should treat this guy w/kid gloves... injuries are always gonna be part of the game no matter if it's a SL game or a regular season one... if he's gonna be injury prone then it's gonna happen whether now or later regardless... hopefully that's not the case.

TMS, many posters want their son to grow up and play and be just like him, don't you know that by now?

Summer league is pointless. If he is hurt and he is your future there is no need to play him. The media is turning Summer League into this all important, essential being, when in reality it really isnt' that important.

The toughness factor bip wasn't brought up in you're disecting of "the gall" and his weaknesses.

Euro's aren't know to be physical players in the NBA , so will "the gall" be potentially injury prone once he laces them up against NBA STUDS?

One drive to the basket and percaussionary measures are needed. WOW

None of us have any idea the extent of the injury or the risk or further injury. Because of this lack of knowledge I choose not to pass judgement on his toughness or lack thereof. You choose otherwise based on no information.

If management decides that he can risk further injury and holds him out then I give them the benefit of the doubt. That's just what I do. I prefer not to have my 1st round pick suffer an injury that nags him year long just so you and I can watch him in a league that has been meaningless for decades.
I just hope that people will like me

I agree. No point in aggravating an injury to your #6 draft pick in meaningless games. On the other hand, as fans, I think we're desperate for our pick to be a superman. We need some good news here.
