We've all seen him play now.....it doesn't take years and years of scouting a guy to know if he can flat out play this game. You can run withis how you like but I just wanna know one thing...... Can this dude play or not?

I'm talking about "style of play". In terms of style of play there is nothing about Danilo's long strides and cross over dribbles that reminds me of Bird. But I see your point.

I love the fantasy, but style wise(yes I'm talking about style of play), other than the fact that they are both white, Danilo's game is nothing like Bird's.

Did you see Bird play at Indiana as a soph. Bird never showed this kid's fluid movement-he was pure shooter.

Sage why were you replying to me? I clearly said that Danilo is nothing like Bird. We are in agreement and yet you attack me like some kind of wild dog

I disagree with the Bird comparisons. The only thing in common between Danilo and Bird is that they are playing the same game.

Actually, I remember Bird to have a little Pistol Pete in him when dribbling the ball and passing. The God Shamgod comparison on the one-handed cross over I thought was off and looked more like Bird in movement and style. I really like the kids physicality and his active hands. He had a couple of deflections in the game and he was constantly talking on D. The long strides I understand because as BRIGGS said Gallo looked really long. He might be 6'11" right now. He looked taller than the Chinese kid and they listed him at 6'11".

Bird was a great passer. Some of his no looks are legendary. But if Danilo wasn't white Larry's name would never come up in this conversation. In terms of style of play they are nothing alike. There is nothing about how they move, dribble, shoot(in terms of form) that reminds me of the other.

He did those dribble with the right hand going right then with same hand change direction and go left similar to what Gallo did yesterday.

The player that reminds me the most of Larry Bird is Shaquille O'neal. They are exactly alike

Some of you guys have an agenda, comparing him with bird. LOL

"THE GALL" showed me that one move that made me think of Tony Kukoc the croatian when he went to the basket after a low dribble crossover move to the left .

His legs are stiff, but he looks like he enjoys the game.

I'm wondering about just one thing.

With the knicks not having too many two-way players, how will "the gall" fare defensively if chandler is not on the court to help him on defense?

He had 3 fouls in 20 min I believe.

So in a real game he wouldn't log too many minutes on the court.

I know nobody wants to bring this up , but i'm just bringing a balance to the rooster hype.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

don't think defense is a priority for the team right now.

dallas made a choice of going with a young nash + dirk to go with finley as their core to start rebuilding that franchise.

knicks don't have a young budding pg or an established scorer type in finley but i see them going in that type of direction as dallas.

that's why they hired d'antoni.

Did dantoni coach the mavs with dirk nash and finley?

#1 I think you are wrong DJ, remeber this is not the western conference, we play a little different here.

#2 I thing D,Antoni even though his style is to run, he understands this isn't the west.

Mike D'Antoni loves Wilson Chandler, who had 26 points in the win over the Cavs. His line was solid: 26 points (11 of 21 FGs), 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots.

“His defense is awesome; that’s what impresses me more than anything,” D’Antoni said. “His shot-blocking, coming from the weak side. He’s got an extra gear. Yeah, I’m really happy with him.”

DEFENSE will always be a priority in the east and as the head coach he know that.
