As I've said before, these Summer-League games always have a dearth of talent at the forward position and are far more useful for guards. Who was guarding Randolph? A bunch of guys who probably will not be in the league? Doesn't mean much to me.

I thought most around here wanted Mayo, so it's not like we were all Gallo fans from day one. The fact that some of us have come around to feeling the pick was a good one is based on a lot of things we've been able to learn about the kid. Plus the fact that Walsh did pick him when he had a chance to take any number of guys like AR.

You can't ignore the fact that this team is going to be taking a certain type of player from now on. #1 they have to be able to shoot!!! Then we have to look at BB IQ and overall game. Gallo is a solid pick when you factor in what this team is gonna be about going forward. I mean come on bigs that can shoot with range and pass? That's a no brainer for a D'Antoni coached team.

summer league stats don't mean much, regardless if it's Gallo we're talking about or any other rookie prospect... of course i'm sure if Brendon Jennings were to put up stats in Euro League we'll hear about it from ya dawg.

Randolph looks sick because he's 6-11 and not even 200lbs. Theres people in 3rd world countries who aren't that thin.

briggs to be fair, last year for the warriors in his first summer league game marco bellineli dropped 37 and went on to score less than 100 for the whole year. its just summer league.

I know it's just summer league but that doesnt take away from his sure-fire talent--he's a 6-10 multi skilled super athletic two way player who is still growing and is 18 years old. 99.9% of 18 year olds couldnt put up 30-8-2-2 on their high school teams.

The interesting thing about Randolh is he can handle the ball and the summer league is traditionally dominated by guards. He is so athletic that he has the potential to have an amazing career. It was a mistake to pass on him but alot of gms did.

Hey we blew it, I checked walsh draft record and he usually drafts a front court player that high in the draft. Picking "THE GALL" has to be a D'Antoni choice.

LOL at people acting like because one good game in summer league AR will be a better player than Gallo. Can we at least wait till monday? I pray that Gallo comes out and drops 31 points.

The one thing I noticed right away about Randolph is he could not only legitimately play 2-3-4 but also GUARD 2-3-4-5 Look at that frontcourt with Biendrins Wright and Randolph in terms of defense and rebounding + speed diversity and athletic ability. They have the frontcourt of the future in the NBA all set.
