What good does it do us to max out someone like Bosh in 2010? Its just Allan Houston all over again.

When you have a player earning up 1/3 the total cap number, that player better be a super star- because there isn't much room left after that.

We need to face reality. There is no quick fix in 2010 and it will take about 5 years to undo Isiah's mess.

I agree, good Houston analogy. Unless lightening strikes, Lebron is more than likely not coming here. Thats about the only player I can think of thats worthy of this salary cap, sweat-stained dance were currently partaking in.

u guys are too much... u praise teams for acquiring guys like Gilbert Arenas & Baron Davis, etc. on big money contracts yet nothing less than Lebron will do for the NY Knicks.

if in 2010 we get a Wade, Bosh, Amare, Dirk, Brandon Roy, or lesser contract players like LaMarcus Aldridge or Manu Ginobili, & then in 2011 we get a Tony Parker, Caron Butler, Yao Ming, David West or Kevin Durant (not to mention a whole buncha other prospective FA's those years that have yet to make a name for themselves right now but may be very good players in a couple years time), we are looking at a huge opportunity to rebuild this roster w/players that are actually worth building around.

please, please, please expand your field of vision beyond just the name of Lebron James... there will be other good options available to us if we fail to get Lebron to sign here... if we don't have the cap flexibility in 2010 then we won't have ANY... that's really the point we need to focus on.
