Gibson's a great young shooter. If Nash goes anywhere for any reason, it will be to a contender.

let's focus on guys we CAN get & not on all the guys who supposedly we could have gotten but lost out on... it doesn't solve anything to harp on the coulda woulda cacas.

of the 3 pt shooters available, i'd say Eddie House & Demetris Nichols are probably the most realistic options at this point... Sasha Vujacic is no longer an option cuz we just used the MLE on Duhon

I'd wouldn't mind getting Daniel Gibson from Cleveland if some deal could be made. From the 3 pt range, he shot 44% last year and 41.9% his rookie year. He is young and can grow in our system.

And the leading 3 pt shooter in the entire NBA - last year --- Steve Nash shooting 47%. (Nash also shoots 90.6 FT and 50.4FG; Not bad for a point guard with 11.1 assists/game.) Hey, why don't we just get Nash!!

isn't Boobie a RFA? we'd have to offer him something more than a LLE to get him, or work out a S&T

You are right - Gibson is a RFA. I didnt realize that. I think Cleveland will want to keep him and match any offers, but a sign and trade could do it. Duhon was an UFA and we knew we could get him without a trade or match. A bird in the hand..... and I like Duhon. But complimenting him with Boobie would be a nice addition for a run and gun team. He is only 22 years old.

i think we got enough shooters we don't really need to be making any more trades for lesser players like Gibson at this point... just MHO... not saying he's all that bad but don't really see him as much of an upgrade over Nate, if at all to be honest... i really think our main concern needs to be targetting a backup C right now, cuz we don't have anyone coming off the bench other than Jared Fishlips that can back up Curry & that's a pretty pathetic thought... u could play D Lee in a small rotation but he doesn't play any D either... shotblocker meng... we gosta grab someone who can protect the lane.
