In a way I don't want to help Dunleavy for that comment but it helps us out more. If Marbury and Randolph are off this team before training camp I will smack my mother.

LOL! I'm gonna hold you to that

I WILL PUT IT ON YOUTUBE!

Real bad news from this front, per rotoworld...

The Clippers will now likely turn their attention to Josh Smith, now that Elton Brand will be joining the Sixers.
The Clippers have a lot of money to throw at Smith, so the Hawks now have to be very concerned about keeping him in Atlanta.

This is definitely true and they can throw the MAX at Smith, which the Hawks will never match.

Doesnt make sense for them to stand pat when they have committed so much jack n cheese to Baron. They HAVE to do something, just a matter of who. Zach could be the guy, and he will come cheap in terms of who they have to give up to get him.

There are many younger, more cost effective, less ballhogging options for the Clippers.

the funny thing is, Zach makes a lot more sense for them than Josh Smith would, but Josh has the glitzier name than Zach's sullied rep. the funnier thing is, Josh may be more insane the Zach.

RFA's like Biedrins, Smith, Okafor etc.

Kristic would make a lot of sense for them too IMO.

Josh Smith would be retarded to leave the Hawks. They have a young core and the took the world champs to 7 games. Why go to basketball purgatory?

I suppose that even if they do sign Josh Smith, that we could still send them Zach for Mobley and cap fodder.

On top of that, there are probably more cost effective trade options out there than Zach.

Probably but have the Clippers ever even been close to being a well run organization? I mean Elgin Baylor has made more mistakes than Isiah..

They tend to make more mistakes in the name of being cheap than in the name of being frivolous

That's probably true too.. I mean they did go and sign Baron with the thought that they had a scoring PF to play with him. I can't imagine another scoring PF in the league that they can get now, especially as cheap as Zach would come.

I could be totally wrong.

This is a no brainer for the Clippers Zach fits that team to a tee. They should be calling Donnie just about now asking for Zach.

He would get more ink in LA. The Hawks are going to be a good team, but once those guys get extended, they lose their bench guys and additional parts because no one is willing to pay the luxury tax down there.

The don't have a decent shooter on the entire team outside of JJ and their point situation is ****ed. I don't know why Golden State didn't make more of a push, I would rather have him than Biedrins who is very tradeable.

Funny how some of you think the Clippers are obligated to take on Zach and his contract just because they lost a stud in Brand. That's because you're going strictly by stats. When Zach is outgoing on your trade scenarios, he's a solid 20 and 10 big man who can get the job done. But when he's incoming/staying, he's a thug who's 20 and 10 has less value than his parties in Indiana.

it's more that he actually makes sense for that team with Kaman and BDiddy. he makes no sense on this team, which almost everyone here has said from the moment he got here.
