Dealing with the Clips almost makes too much sense at this point for all involved. Bad sign.

BTW, did the Clippers get worked or what? How about B. Diddy, how does he feel? There isnt a lick of honor or integrity in contemporary sports.

He is someone who can actually run the floor for a fast paced offense.

This is a opportunity for the knicks to basically trade zach for picks. If the Knicks can strike a deal with the Clippers and send Zach there, the Knicks next year could be looking at reducing their payroll by 22 million for Marbury, 16 million for Zach and 8 million for Malik you are looking at 46 million off the payroll. This might be to good to be true.

If the Clips were somehow willing to take Zach's entire contract I'd ask for nothing but a 2nd rounder back. That would be a favor of epic proportions.

it probably is, LAC wants Josh Smith. he's a glitzier name to quell their reeling fanbase. if they have a fanbase.

No way the Hawks let Smith walk. Hawks are playing it shrewd just waiting for an offer to be made and they will match it.

the hawks ownership doesn't know how to play it shrewd. they'll have to schedule a meeting to determine whether they want to match or not and by the time they meet, Josh will be gone.

Philly actually landed Brand.

I didn't think it would happen without a sign & trade.

If we could now move Randolph to LA for a shorter deal then it works out for everyone.

Why go through all that work of signing and waiting for the Hawks to match, the Knicks will send Zach over on the first flight at no cost to them. The Knicks are gonna do the clips a favor in return all they have to do is take over Zach's contract. If the clips feel obligated to give anything in return give the knicks a future second round pick.

Supposedly LA Clips had to renounce the rights to Brand in order to sign Baron, which rescinded his Bird rights and allowed Philly to actually offer more money.

Hawks has a ton of players at the 4-5. If Josh gets a major offer he could very well be gone.

Philly is going to be tough next season

They need someone that can knock down outside shots now at G-F.

They should go after Posey. He can provide more defense on the perimeter and knock down 3s.

Excellent suggestion regarding Posey, who is an unrestricted free agent. Philly would instantly get a battle tested vet thats not afraid to take the big shot. He also defends exceptionally well, puts his body on the line for charges, and puts the team first. He's the new generation Robert Horry, he was clearly the best role player of 2008.

Yo!! I was thinking the same exact thing with the whole Robert Horry aspect. Posey has hit some clutch shots, and he guards multiple positions. He won a championship with the Heat and he has won a championship with the Celtics. He could play that Horry role hopping from contender to contender win chips.

Rasheed could win a couple more championship as well if he took less money and filled that role for some contenders. As could Prince but it might be to early in his career at this point.

Definitely too early for Tayshaun. He's more of a shoe in starter if you ask me. He's the best SF on any team besides the obvious Lebron James and a few other guys. He's arguably Detroit's best player at this point because unlike guys like Chauncey, Rip, and Rasheed's careers seem to be waning, Prince's value is steadily increasing. He runs the floor like a deer, defends, is aggressive going to the goal and has also won a championship.

As for Rasheed, I look at him as a legitimate starter, but I pictured him being a "Posey" and it could work. Too bad his ridiculous ego would never allow that.
