The only option is go for it or not. If not then why are we being out bid for chris duhon over 1 year? Certainly Duhon is not the cure all but if they like him enough to say he warrants a starting job in the nBA certainly they would go to a third or a fourth year to compete for his services. I applkaud that the Knicks stick to their guns but it wont mean a thing unless massive cap room is moved. I think you also have to take the opportunity if its is presented. Personally Im not optomistic about FA 2010.

This summer's moves so far (Davis bolting GS and Brand toying with leaving LA) have me more optimistic that we'll be able to move Zach before 2010.

Every year there will be vulnerable teams, that lost players in free agency, or teams that missed out on their top target and are looking to use their cap space. That is what the front office needs to wait for. That is why it is good they didn't trade Zach to the Sixers.

DW should wait and catch teams when they are at their weakest. If the Sixers miss out on all their targets, perhaps they'll want to revisit the Zach talks when he becomes the best available. With the lack of quality frontcourt players available in FA, Zach should be marketable as soon as Brand makes his decision.
