As far as marbury bailing out steve and barry, there is a business side of his life that has to make sense also. Why should he do that? Steve and barry is a business, unless marbury was directly the cause of their failure I don't see the validity of your argument .. I would just like to see him continually giving his time and money to the inner city kids, and for me, that would be just fine......

Why doesn't he attach his name to a high quality product and sell it at a minimum? That would be Philanthropic. As you said there's a business side and as Steve & Barry are hitting a low in the market place you aren't hearing anything from Marbury or Ben about the MOVEMENT! What I meant by Bail Out.... not paying off their debts but maybe helping out so that they can keep more stores in operation.

I would like Marbury to invest and create his very Own Steve & Barry's like he has done with his very own Car Chop Shop he has in NY, and call it whatever he so chooses and provide for inner city kids.

well then why not just go hand out money to kids and programs in the hood? OH wait, he already did that.. You see, there is nothing wrong with making money and helping others. He sold his product at a bare bones minimum, as cheap as you may think the product was, it was still a ,much better value than that 9.99 pricetag.... why should he make a stupid business decision in order to be a philantropist? why not make a smart decision while helping others. But it all goes back to giving money, which this guy has done quite a bit of....

And really steve and barry's financial woes is not his problem, why should he help out that way? Maybe the owners of steve and barry are horrible with their finances, maybe they are irresponsible with their money, why should marbury help bail them out...? why?

Steve and Barrys is a great store. There really cannot be a high profit margin for anything that they sell because they are so inexpensive. I think Marbury has done some positive things with his sneaker line. I was visiting my parents in Syracuse this week and they had an article in their paper about a Marbury sneaker give away. It was pretty awesome. The kids had to write essays about why they should win the sneakers and what they would do with them. I hate Marbury as a Knick but this is one area where I don't think you can fault him.
