I think the money is a little high for a reserve of Duhon's capabilities. I'm happy with it only being two years, at least. Overall, Duhon is solid; can't complain too much from that point of view.

It was going to be one or the other. Either more money less yrs, more yrs less money

At least Jerome James will have company when it comes to drinking so much so late in the morning that you're still drunk come game time.

Not so sure what's so exciting about a player that's pretty bad, is blasted by the majority of the Bulls fanbase - be it as a scape goat or otherwise - for bad play. Granted several Bulls fans liked Duhon but hated how Skiles used him for more than 20 minutes a game - cursing the coach for over use.

Overall though, he's just not all that good, I can't see how he fits an up-tempo team (which we at least assume will be our game plan here), and why he's any more of an option over Nate Robinson at the point - on a team that will probably not win more than 35 games next season.

Yet, as said, if it is two years, then well can't do much else but hope it works out on the court as financially it's right in line with the summer of 2010 (Walsh's supposed target date).

When you look at the reactions so far to this thread, it really tells you how much Knick fans have been through with Isiah. I'm not trying to say Duhon isn't a solid player, but the fact that we're so excited that our new GM made a fiscally responsible deal for a half-decent player, it's just really telling.

Duh. The moment that D'Antoni started talking about the MLE, who here immediately thought we'd waste our MLE by handing out a full MLE just to bring in anyone? *raises hand* After 53 years of Isiah (or however long it was), I had forgotten that you don't have to offer the maximum years and dollars possible on every contract.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Bulls where better when Duhon was playing more and BG came off the bench. He's a glue guy and a floor general. Great passer, tough defender, great attitude... a leader. I hope he does well here. Old school Knick type.

honestly, I wasn't a big fan of his at all, but after seeing how much the bulls struggled when he was not on the floor a lot, I realized he did a lot for that team. I like that we are making a smart move, and I will root for duhon, but I am not his biggest fan. But. he can change that with a good season, that is for sure...

i wonder if duhon's agent went into the office and said "i want browne sanders loot"

Pause No Homo Duhon I believe wears contacts or has these really light brown eyes so what may have been precluded the request was I SAY UGH telling Duhon he's easy on the eyes. I mean we all know I SAY UGH was there during negotiations hammering the numbers out.

It's a safe signing nothing more nothing less just like the draft pick. Except Duhon comes at far less risks and paves the way to Marbury posting up on the corner with a "Why Lie I Need A Beer Sign."

i have no idea what this means.

$11.5mil lawsuit awarded to Anucha I SAY UGH told Anucha she was easy on the eyes. Duhon has really light brown looking eyes almost looks like a girl to a point he got $11.5 to sign with us.

Culturally significant signing.

Would Duhon have received this coin from anyone else?

Maybe not on the first day of FA, but surely as it wears on.

Maybe not. As the season wears on less money to be handed out with roster spots being filled.

the money makes sense - i'd rather have duhon for two years at $11M than three years at $12M. to get him to sign for less years, we had to give him more money.

he's a guy that D'Antoni has been trying to acquire with the Suns for years. it's a solid, steady the ship move that will help us maximize the value of the guys we already have here.

On a team, everyone can't be a big scorer. You need some, like Duhon, who help others score, play solid d and can hit an open j. Duhon is a good fit for this team. He'll run the break and work the ball inside when the other team gets back. And he can play perimeter defense.

I'd rather have someone like Tyron Lue/Anthony Johnson/Athony Carter at $2-3mil and sign another FA like a big/Earl Barron/Franciso Elson/David Harrison for $2-3mil on 2yr deals PO on the 2nd yr since all we're doing is stop gap signings, instead of giving Duhon almost all the $6mil.

I'll take this signing only for the simple fact it could be worse but most importantly axes Marbury.

Another thing I'm tired of us always making players the richest they can become in this league.

Not many players out there were gonna sign for 2 years. Knicks need to be more concerned with length of contract rather than size.

That's not my point. Once the prices of Baron Davis, etc. are seen on the first day of FA, Duhon's demand would go up. He's already got his deal, though, but it might have gone higher in light of what Udrih is supposedly getting. I wasn't talking about going into the season, I was talking about the period that just started today.
