Mardy Collins is gonna threaten to be an all-star on the rise. Cap'n Zeke will be vindicated for choosing him over Marcus Williams.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

if a guy like Frank Williams couldn't stick in the NBA, who I thought showed some real promise, I don't see how Mardy Collins could.

When did Frank ever put up a triple double? I know it was short lived, but the dude looked good for a bit there. No reason Mike D can't bring that out two years after his injury.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Frank played extremely well leading up to the Marbury trade in Dec/Jan, when teams were actually trying to win games. Mardy played well in April when most of his competition had packed it in for the year.

I think Frank had weight problems and followed the Chris Childs diet a little too closely.

He can't dribble nor pass. Not to mention his shooting is some of the worst I've see at the guard position. He is truly the master brick layer.

I was trying to be kind but the guy does absolutely nothing well. And his hairline starts at the back of his neck but Jerry was the worst looking insisted on rocking those cornrows.

I've been saying for 2 years now that Collins is lucky to be in the NBA and will be gone as soon as his 3 year guarantee gift from Isiah is up. And where will a nobody like Collins go? He'll probably go star in the European League.

Mardy Collins is easily one of the worst players in the NBA. Boy was Isiah's drafting so freaking overrated.

Looks like he is top 1 or 2 defensively on this team. He played injured last year and put up a near triple double at the end of his first year.
I really think you are jumping things a bit, or perhaps you are just psychic.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not super high on him just want to see him play out this year and not released, then we can see if last year was an abomination.

I still think the kid can play....... But he never got a good chance... Is he a goner for sure? Maybe D'Antoni will give him a chance?

I totally agree. What I been saying all last season. Collin's is a big guard, who has defensive potential. As far as shooting, maybe he needs more time to develop. Right now, I think he's just average, but then again, he still didn't get much time to prove himself.

I said the same thing about Lee. And then they gave his spot to zbo and look what happened. Lee should have been starting last year.

If you ask me, I think Balkman is turning out to be just average. Good hustle player, but I don't see anything special with him.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He got more chances than most players in the NBA. It was Mardy second year in the NBA and Isiah wanted him to start over Marbury. You can't get into a better situation than that. The main reason why he did not remain starting is because he could barely get the ball pass halfcourt. Think about it, Mardy is a 6'4 point guard. If he was good he would be the first attraction on other teams list. Malik Rose has a better jumper than Mardy. And Fred Jones can do everything better than Mardy. Again why is Mardy Collins so special.

I think Mardy is a solid pg in the sense that he knows how to feed the post and get the offense set and he can defend the position. His problem, as we all know, is that he is not explosive and he has no jumpshot to speak of. He cannot really change his explosiveness, but if he can develop a consistent jumper, he has a place in the league.
