The last thing we need is to sign ANYBODY to a giant contract. I want to dump salary, play the young guys, and LOSE games next year! I want that #1 pick!

To draft who?

Baron Davis is a crafty, magician with the ball. He would be perfect running D'antoni's system. He's a pass first, scorer.....much like Nash is. Baron looks to set the table and knows when he has to take over. Baron is also clutch.

I'd sign him to a similiar contract to what Nash got in Pheonix. With that said......the Knicks better be thinking about more starphuching. Nelson and Mullin supposedly like Crawford from what I remember reading last year. Craw & Malik for Baron?

That leaves a hole @ the 2 spot...Monta for the mid-level? Zach for someone.....straaaaaaanger things have happened.....there are definately some moves out there the Knicks could pull off.

Ditto... he's a stud and a proven player in big games as well. He also plays more under control than when he was younger. Also stays in better shape. I def think he's more serious about winning. I would give him 5 years in a S&T tomorrow

What expectations? To lose forever in search for that #1 draft pick to take us up to the penthouse suite to **** the **** out of us for 15 years?

I wanna win asap. If Baron can become a Knick along with some other pieces why not. The Knicks suck but do have some chips to trade.

I would hope knicks fans would inhale the thought that in order to run D'Antoni's system like it ran with nash, you would need an experienced multipurpose pg in the driver seat.

The knicks at this present time do not have one.

I take on B-Diddy and make everyone on the roster better, then I sign James Jones from Portland who Declared Free Agency and he stretches the defense with his perimitter shooting .
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

please, if he comes here let it only be on a 2 year extension.

I would assume that's pretty possible so when his extension is complete that he's only 31 and he can still get one more payday.

It's not! Once a player opts out he's negotiating from zero. Extension is no longer an option. It's a brand new contract at what cost to us?

Within 15% of Marbury's expiring....give or take any other GSW put in to make it work. Can't see any other option here that makes sense financially.

Maybe Malik+??Crawful or James or Jeffries??+Lee ????? ... eh...we really don't make good trading partners with many teams.

Well I am not a huge fan or replacing the Marbury contract with another big one - but he does have a track record of teams getting better after he gets traded....

B-diddy wouldn't be a bad option but he would be expensive and isn't he getting up there in age? I don't see too many better options out there unless you go young and inexperienced.

Stephen Jackson was more the reason for the gsw success. B diddy is a star, but if he's smart and is thinking on a finacial level, he may wanna look else where for his final big contract.

acquiring bdiddy means the knicks would now have to dump at least two of the following before 2010: zach + eddy + jamal + jeffries

i think they can trade jamal + eddy for deals that end one year sooner.

I love lee, but a Crawford, Jefferies, Lee pacakge and a two year deal at 18 million would actually do wonders for our cap longterm

That clears 15 million, not to mention the extension for Lee

According to Screamin' Stephen, Davis opted out in hopes of prying an extension out of Golden State. He said he would love to play in NY, but his first priority is getting paid.

Clipper are after Boom-Dizzle as I said they would be. Stephen A. is a moron and who couldn't see Baron was looking to get paid.

Dude it's not that hard to call that one. Davis is from LA and played at UCLA, I think everyone knows that.

everyone wants to joind the knicks.. LOL.. Only at a premium price of course.. If he wants to join us so bad, then he should be more than willing to take a 2 year deal, right?

Why would he take a 2 yr deal when he can get a 3-4 yr deal with a good agent.

If he wants to play here so bad and that is all we are willing to offer, then he can show how much he wants to play here.... again, all of that is just BS talk, baron wants to get paid and he knows dolan has deep pockets....

Isiah isn't the GM anymore, so he could make us respectable again by delegating the ball to everyone by commanding respect from his new teammates.

Have you ever seen him play in the rucker games against Newyorkers...he takes those matchups personally.
