if he'll take a two year deal, it's not a horrible move. i never thought of him as a playmaker, particularly.

i'd still rate felton, telfair and an injured livingston well above him. seems like he's a backup plans backup.

He hasn't been in any big time trouble for anything real bad. He got into it a bit with Skiles/Paxon who got into it with everybody last yr. He was pissed as most players are when you're on a bad team during a contract yr. Most NBA players party your boy taking the cake in that primarily.


Make no mistake about it bitty I could care less if we acquire him I said I could tolerate it. You of all people shouldn't call out anyone for character issues. If we can tolerate Zachass we can make Du with Duhon.

he did fly down to a duke game w/o permission and was late to a bulls game or practice the next day and got suspended for it.

is this true? Duhon always struck me as a guy with a good attitude.

This was his response last year to being suspended for a game for missing a morning shootaround:

How would characterize this? Sounds like par for the course with me in terms of what probably goes on throughout an NBA season.

i think the only reason the knicks are interested is b/c he's cheap labor. if he's signed, he won't be with the team for more than 2 seasons.

Par for the course would mean pretty much every player does this....I have not seen that many suspensions.

That's because every player doesn't get suspended for their actions. Teams handle matters in house often times that don't even make pubic press. Bulls had issues all last season Goron and Deng thought they we being low balled, Noah poppin off in the Lockeroom after several games at the veterans, Ben Wallace had issues with Skiles early on, Nocioni had his issues but Skiles grew to like him because of his intensity, When Jamal was a Bull he didn't particularly care for how they handle matters and had some snide comments towards them as he left in Free Agency......is Jamal low character?

You could be right but why come if you only get like a $500,000 raise when and up and coming team like Miami or Clippers probably will offer more. He made like $3.5mil last yr, MLE will be something like $5.6mil.

This signing would only work if we dont pay him past the 2010 cutoff. If we are looking to sign him for 2 years give him the full MLE it doesent matter how much you pay him it only matters for how LONG you pay him

That's why when I read a GM from another team say they deny a trade going on with us or that they aren't interested in our players I tend to believe them

That's why when I read a GM from another team say they deny a trade going on with us or that they aren't interested in our players I tend to believe them

can't argue with that. i do think there was something to either the portland or charlotte rumors on draft night though, portland or charlotte may have gotten cold feet, but i think something was there at first.

Duhon is a backup. A PG in the vein of a guy like Charlie Ward. He's not a bad signing, but he's not any kind of answer to the PG problem.
