Charlie V? No thanks. The guy has regressed every year he's been in the league. Another player who's far better in theory than in practice.

Regressed? No way VD.....all you gotta do is observe his game logs....check the box scores of games......The Bucks are one of those teams that are run by the owners that say, "play this guy and keep this guy outta there. I don't want him to be the face of the franchise".

Whenever Charlie was given starters minutes he dropped bigtime numbers. He wants to play and he has a willingness to be an all-star. The guy is 6'11" and can do it all. He's not Tim Thomas. Charlie once he gets his minutes will average close to a double double and get a block and a half a game.....Tim Thomas could never do that and he never did and he should have.

VD stop your mess bro or I'm gonna give you the weggie of your life the next time I see you!

Eny, I know you love this guy, but look at his FG percentage falling over 6 pts this year. Charlie got his best stats in his rookie year. This is a guy that should've been improving, not seeing his productivity decline. And every year he seems to inspire so much confidence in his coach that he manages to player fewer important minutes. I think he has a ton of talent, but he's a bit of a knucklehead that seems to play a lot lower in his ability. Now he isn't a straight out feminine character like Tim Thomas, but he's a bit of a space cadet. I always said when he was at UConn that he could be like Sheed if he had a little more of a killer instinct to go with his wayward personality. He has the same skillset.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be willing to take a chance on this guy, but this isn't a player I'd move David Lee for. On a minute for minute basis, David Lee, with supposedly no offensive talent, scores about the same or more than this guy with a far fewer amount of shots, obviously rebounds much more and just plays harder. I think you can get more for Lee than Charlie. If you're talking about Charlie+Sessions and a future pick for Lee than I'd be more interested.

Just cuz the man's balls are as smooth as eggs man doesn't mean you have to like him......but do you agree that he fits better here with D'antoni and probably eddy curry?

i don't like charlie v but he was traded after his first year to a totally f'ed up situation. so i think he gets a pass there.

Sure he fits better than Curry...I just think he has some of the same personality traits as well. You got to wonder why a guy putting up nice numbers is always on the block

How about Curry for Villanueva and Gadzuric?

Sure Vdesai, I would do that, but I don't think I'd place either of them in the starting lineup. Like I said, we already officially have a shooting sf/pf, an he's probably better than CV anyway. Dan G would give us nice energy off the bench though. I've always liked him.

I don't think Curry fits with D'Antoni in any way, shape or form, so long as his rebounding his crappy and will defer to Zach Randolph. At least Charlie V and Dan G are good chips to trade away in the future.

I was thinking Charlie and Curry together. Its gonna be tough to trade both Zach and Curry the same year. Charlie can actually block shots and shoot along with all the other stuff David could do but @ a legit 6'11".

Oh my gosh. This guy needs to be a Knick.......

Question......if not Zach who is such a thug, punk, baby shaker......then who? David is on the block. Who do you guys want to play the 4?

Don't say Carlos Boozer!

Nobody is available can bring what Charlie can. The Knicks need to get this guy asap before a rival gets.

if we can't get a PG using Lee as trade bait, then i say we should focus on seeing if DEN might be interested in a Camby for Lee swap... or maybe use Lee in a package for Marion or Josh Smith (though those latter options are much more of a stretch obviously)... if we're going to trade D Lee let it at least address 1 of our main needs... i don't wanna trade him for another repetitive player that doesn't address our team balance issues.

I agree, but not sure about a 1000 y/o Camby. How much more can he have in the tank?

i think he's got plenty left in his tank... he looked like 1 of the best players in the league last year in terms of rebounding & shotblocking... i think he'd be a perfect complement to Curry or Zach in the frontcourt, but not sure DEN would do it for D Lee & Malik's expiring.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I like the sound of Charlie V. as a mobile center in D'Antoni's system. I'd love to play Charlie and David Lee up front with Wilson/Danilo/Balkman swinging in at the 3 and really get up and down the floor. Gadzuric would fit in this rotation too. I think you put Charlie inside and he plays more agressively.

If they could somehow ship Zach to the Bulls in that supposed deal and make a move like this things would be pretty interesting.
