I will take EG i have said him and COurtney Lee as a sleeper and Speights will surprise people. I know EG is more athletic, can stroke it from anywhere and has to get better at handling the ball but his body is NBA ready

we are not interested in EG's intimate fetishes nor should these types of subjects be discussed on a public forum.

I like Gordon, dont get me wrong, but his size and lack of ability to play the point posses serious question marks. Every player picked after 5 has just as many warts as Galinari. Different warts but just as many.

Reebok has already designed and named a sneaker after our pick. I don't think they did that cause the think he's gonna flop.

In the first place, European pro players are, on average more experienced that American college players. Also, while there are players who make it in Europe who can't make it in the NBA, those same players would have no trouble making a college team.

has a group of CBB players ever beaten a team of NBA all stars in international competition? Could they? Would they?

I think thats your answer right there... its a different game, but the best players in the NCAA arent beating a team with Iverson, Marbury, Ben Wallace, Tim Duncan, et al.. its just not happening.

Who are the dominating Euro players that tanked here? Bargs wasnt as good as Galinari. Darko didnt play, he was just a prospect. Diaw, Ginobili, Nocioni, Calderon, Parker... lot of good players.

How many 6'3 chubby shooting guards have great NBA careers?

Hey, leave Quentin Richardson alone.

The list of Euro players to have pretty good success is too long...Petrovic, Divac, Marcioulonuous (Spelling?), Sabonis,Ginoblie (Euroleague), Nocioni, Parker, Kirilenko, Okur, Turkoglu, Krstic, and there are ton of players on top of that that are good average NBA players.

European basketball has many different leagues of varying levels of competition. The top leagues would generally be considered better than college basketball because they will be filled with American NCAA stars, guys with NBA experience, as well as the top talent from Europe, South America, and Africa.

So the top Euro leagues are no joke. It is most likely the second best basketball in the world.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

to add to that most of the recent Euro "busts" did NOT play in the Euroleagues. Darko, Lampe, Skita to name a few didnt play or prove themselves at that level. When they were drafted they were nothing more than prospects. Galinari (like some of the others oohah mentioned) played at a very high level there before coming here.

A small percentage of the best players in college basketball make it to the NBA. Euroleague players get paid well, and are coached by top flight individuals. The good coaching they get helps them develop. Most of the players in the NCAA won't make it to Euroleague. Probably 85-90% of them.

You can never compare professional leagues with non professional leagues. NCAA is not a professional league and the players don't get paid. Euro league consistists of players that played in NCAA and players that have made the NBA but were let go because they weren't good enough or basically because there was lack of roster space end up going to the Euro league. Players that have played in the NBA for some time end up going to the Euro league. You guys have to remember that the Euro League surpassed the NCAA a long time ago hence the need for NBA players to go into the Olympics.

If you had to choose between which league is more advanced its definitely euro League, I mean for players like Bob Macadoo played there.
