Randolph has enormous bust potential. DeWayne Scales was a much better prospect out of LSU and he was also a bust.

So you are smarter than Chris Mullin?
Did I go to a better college? YES. Did I kick his ass in on the SAT's? YES. Would I beat the snot out of him on Jeopardy? YES. I'm pretty comfortable in saying, YES, I am smarter than Chris Mullin. Do I know that basketball business as well as he does? Probably not. But I saw enough of Randolph to think he'll be a bust. We'll see, I guess.

Probably not. --Ok everything else means nothing-we arent talking about anything but basketball and my bet is no one here holds a penny to Chris Mullin and Don Nelson in terms of basketball knowledge. I havent heard anyone talk about Gallinari's star potential --Jay Bilas nearly choked saying he might be good.

No the management and scouting services for the Knicks have done a real good job getting us to 25 wins which shall continue--they have had the final word.

Have you seen Randolph play in a game? All he does is turn the ball over. Gallinari played better and at a higher level than Randolph did. Randolph is a physically weak player, with a bad handle who can run and jump some. Now he may blossom, but Gallinari is a a stronger player, with a better shot, better handle, better vision and who has succeeded at a higher level than Randolph has, and looks like a much better shot than the guy who fell to 14 in what was being called a shallow draft.

yeah, i agree... Boozer's a way high expectation.

No, it's not. You may be forgetting Boozer was a 2nd round pick, just like Dorsey.

no i'm not forgetting that but players like Boozer who become superstars out of the 2nd round don't come around every year... i dunno enough about Dorsey to say 1 way or the other but it would be hard to expect him to become another Boozer.

I don't think Bayless worked out for teams picking after six. He was supposed to go top 5. Lopez was a steal for the Nets. I think he suffered because so many teams wanted point guards. Randolph was given the potential bust label by some writers and I think there were too many sure things available. He went where some of the mocks had him yesterday.

Odd thing about Dorsey is that he got flipped over to the Rockets, who already have under-sized overachievers in Carl Landry and the Chuck Hayes Connection.
Not sure why they of all teams wanted Dorsey.
