Posted by TMS: I'm with you. I'm really starting to like this pick the more I think of it. I wanted Westbrook, but with him out of the picture, I'm pretty relieved we didn't go with Bayless or Gordan. Maybe now we can focus on finding a true point instead of another undersized shooting guard. |

Bayless keeps slipping further. I'm thinking NBA teams don't think he can be a PG.

Once again i am on record saying that this will be a great pick by the Knicks !!! He is light years better then any SF we have on the roster !!! You can now package Lee, Chandler and Balkman ( some kind of combination )with a big contract like Zach and be ok. We are not asking the kid to do anything other than what his skillz dictate and that shoot, drive and rebound.
When opportunity knocks, make sure you open the door !!!

i'm guessing Gallinari can play some 4 & 2 as well as 3 depending on the rotations... probably would make a decent point FWD... it gives D'Antoni flexibility to create matchups in our favor... we didn't need a PG as badly as some of you thought IMHO... i think Jamal & Nate in the backcourt can do well in the new system.

Walsh pack your **** and get in the truck with Marbury.
The Knicks are doing a 4 year plan when this team is losing out of their mind. This team will soon be the Pacers team of last year. Walsh needs to hire a gm. Now the Knicks are making picks based on Family relationships. lol BigC's Knick blogs and Knicks

The draft 1-5 dictated what we could do with our pick and to be honest who really needed another clone of what we already have with Gordon or Bayless. Danilo is a different kind of player for this team. He does things that we don't already have. High B IQ, solid pedigree, passing, shooting, excellent size and handle, this is a good thing for this team.

I think this means Lee is out the door for another pick to fill PG need or an established PG, wait and see.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

We have to move either the Balkster, Q-brick, Fishlips or Chandler, where the F is this dude going to play?

I'd keep Chandler, get rid of Lee and or Balkman, fits better to D'antoni's style. Gallinari seems to have a quick release at least, unlike, say *cough* eddy curry *cough*

Posted by BlacKat: I would tend to agree. We can see that he's got the kind of game that D'Antoni needs. He's a young, but well rounded player. When was the last time we had a 6-10, hi B IQ, Passing, Shooting, dribbling, versatile big? OK, so he's no Tyrus Thomas, but he's athletic enough to get the job done and his skills are already very refined. Solid Pick!!! |

I think Danilo will be OK but I'll bet that passing on Alexander will be a mistake.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

How many of us are really informed enough to pass strong judgement?
I think this could work out well for us. From what I've read and seen I am hopeful. Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

he might have the most potential upside of the players that were left. Maybe they are thinking he is going to grow and turn into the next dirk.
