Who are they targeting, any word?

it's gotta be Mayo... not that they're gonna get him at #4

They must know something. Chi-Rose, Miami-Beasley, Sota-Love, Clips-Mayo which means Riley could play with Memphis and do a deal to grab Bayless.

they might have done it to put pressure on Riley to take Mayo at #2... they want Mayo in a bad way & they probably think Riley does too... doesn't make much sense for MIN to trade up 1 spot now so Riley will either have to take Mayo at #2 or let him slide, at which point it puts MIN in the position to either take him or make a move of their own... i still don't see Mayo sliding to #4 but i think this move was made to give the Clippers some options & play a little chess w/Riley... at the very least they'll definitely have Westbrooke available.

Good thinking it forces those two to really Man Up. I mean what if Beasley slides to 4? Like I said the other day every pick after the Bulls in the Top 5 is the place to be. Great Power move by the Clippers.

Knicks should just make a deal w/MIN to move up to #3... then we end up w/either Mayo or Beasley... can't lose in that situation IMO.

We don't have the horses to do it, i don't think. We really have NO future picks to trade. All these trades that are going down are including future picks.

The best possible offer we can offer is Lee + Pick 6 for #3. I dont know thats good enough.

we can offer up next year's #1 w/the #6 to move up to #3 if we're truly desperate... that should get it done.

Or do that miami deal. I WOULD trade Lee to Minnesota for that 2nd or 3rd pick. There's no way Lee nixes a trade to Miami.

I thought you can't trade picks in successive years?

If the Clippers take Westbrook I'm gonna have a freakin heart attack.

If Minnesota picks Brook Lopez......that means Love, Bayless or Mayo SHOULD be a Knick......unless Donnie opts to draft Gordon or the Stallion.

does that also apply to switching picks? technically we're not giving away our pick this year, only moving up using next year's pick.

u think Riles wants to fall to #6 tho? i don't think so... i think he wants either Mayo or Bayless so he'll wanna stay in the top 4 or 5 at the very least.

Yeah, but Bayless could very well fall. Consider this. Memphis has Conley. Clippers might take Westbrook. Beasley/Mayo fall to the top 2. Memphis is prolly getting Love. Bayless falls to 6.

We must find a way to get to #3. WHATEVER it takes.

I understand it's fun to be part of the action, but cmon, the Knicks don't NEED to do anything. Sometimes the best deals are the ones you let go. Isiah didn't understand that. In my opinion, number 7 plus a future pick is too much for the 4th. Who's worth that?

The Knicks can still get a good player at 6. If we're not moving up to the top three, it's not worth it. In fact, it may make sense to move down.

Just read the Nets are trying to move up to #5. They want Galinari bad.

You are forgetting about the 2010 pick that must go to Utah. Isiah Thomas- the gift that keeps on giving!

I wouldn't complain about that.

I'm in the same boat as you Allan. I gotta say that DG isn't a splashy pick. I just know nothing about him, but if we end up with him, I'll trust Walsh. I just really want Westbrook or Alexander, or Bayless for that matter.

why would they want galinari now they have yi?

---------------

The New Jersey Nets and the Grizzlies are in talks about a trade that would send the No. 5 pick to New Jersey for the No. 10 pick and a future first-round pick. Pick would be Kevin Love or Joe Alexander.

ACK! dammit.

speaking of the gift that keeps on giving, how about that #36 pick we lose out on this year cuz of that moronic Demetris Nichols trade where we didn't even keep the kid around to even see if he could become a player for us cuz we had stiffs like Fishlips Jefferies taking up his minutes? we coulda landed someone like Sonny Weems in the 2nd round & had a guy w/some serious ups & athletic ability to play at the swing position & complement the running game.
