Uptown - Morrison sucks. He is a spot up shooter with solid skills (ball handling, pet moves etc). But he's not big enough or athletic enough to be a big time scorer. And that's bad because scoring is the only thing he can do.

Morrison is more than a spot-up shooter. I dont think you have seen this guy play enough. He can put the ball on the floor and get to a comfort spot. He can shoot under duress (which is key in the NBA), he's a super competitor, he has a great understanding of the game, and he might not be the most athletic, but his use of ball fakes and up and unders allows him to get his shot off.

At 6'8, he can get his shot off against most SF's in this league. In the right situation, where he's given the confidence and the green light, I think he can excell.

Lee's proven he can play and Morrison hasn't.

Exactly. I dont get this at all. Morrison is a scrub.

So based on one rookie season, Morrison is a scrub? Most rookies struggle when they transition form college to the NBA. If you were to judge a player after thier rookie season alone, you would be calling Gay garbage, Deron Williams a scrub, etc......This guy is too skilled too much of a gym-rat not to improve.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm not biting. Not only does he have physical and athletic limitations, but he seems to lack the proper mental makeup.

Note: I did say he had some ball handling skills.

But yes, I saw his fine career at Gonzaga. Saw him struggle vs. NBA caliber athletes in his rookie year to the tune of 37% FG, 33% 3 pt & no contribution on defense or on the boards. Also saw that he he's coming off an ACL.

This player is not remotely attractive especially when it will cost us our best player, & a trade down of our # 6.

have to agree w/purple... not interested in Morrison, especially if we have to move down in the draft AND give up D Lee... not worth the trouble.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I have a friend who's a Bobcat fan and suggested Lee for their pick straight up (they're under the cap). He thought it was a fair trade. I'd do this if we got Love at 6, then use it for a point guard (Westbrook if he falls, otherwise Augustin).

I would do that but I would take Love and Lopez.
