Rivers really did a very poor job coaching in the early rounds and it really cost him, he limited house which allowed teams to double off because rondo was so inconsistent on the road. I don't think the Celtics would have been able to beat a lot of teams in the West. Spurs, Suns would have been very tough matchups for them.
If Lebron had any help Cleveland would have beat the Celts.
