How about we just keep Love, and sent Lee to the Nets then draft Westbrook? Love is a banger with an exceptional BB IQ and is regarded as one of the best passing bigs in years. Doesnt that seem like a good fit for us?

If I offered you guys two scenarios and you had to pick one what would you go with?
1) draft Love and trade Lee for an extra pick to draft Westbrook
2) draft Mayo and use Lee to move up to get him

I would love either move...but the thought of seeing DLee in a Nets jersey is enough to make me sick.

I could see a NY & Minny trade but I don't think it would be Lee and #6 for just the #3.

If Minny is willing to talk trade with NY with guarantee they won't take Mayo -- that's an indication that they aren't crazy for Mayo.
In my mind that brings the price down for the #3 pick just a bit.

I could see something like -- Lee, Balkman and #6 for the #3 and Corey Brewer.

If I'm the Knicks I don't give up my (2) best assets (Lee and #6) just to move up 3 spots.

I guess I don't get some of the thinking here. Why does Riles need to create a smokescreen when he has the #2? I guess I can see why Minnesota would want to squeeze a little more out of the Knicks to get Love and whatever by selecting Mayo (if they think NY will even take Mayo), but that puts them in a big risk position by giving another team a chance to nab Love.

Riles smokescreen was to not tip his hand to the Bulls about which of the big two he wanted.

Like I said, the only wildcard is Memphis and supposedly they like Lopez, but who knows what they're thinking. after that Gasol trade I don't think anyone can claim to understand Memphis.

why would anything riley says effect the bulls? the bulls have the #1 pick, they control their own fate. if anything, he's trying to guage the market for the #2 pick and see if a team that wants mayo will trade up for it.

I think Riles wants Mayo and he doesn't want to let Beasley slide past without compensation. In the end if he gets mediocre offers I still say he let's Beasley drop. Minny and Seattle have nothing to offer him really but Memphis does.

The Bulls are going to invite Beasley back afor another workout and from what I'm hearing so far they like Beasley.


I think what will happen as far as Top 3

1. Beasley
2. Mayo
3. Rose

Imagine Curry with an very good outside shot, a very good passer out of double teams, an excellent outlet passer, a strong rebounder and a smart player. That's Kevin Love. He does a lot of things very well.

I see a guy who is too short to play center and too slow and stiff to play PF. Although he can shoot, his game is around the basket. He doesn't have the explosiveness to finish strong in the NBA and he's too short with no lift to get his shot off in the paint.

I would have huge reservations about this guy at all, much less moving up to get him.

i don't think anyone is talking about moving up to get him. we're talking about the wolves moving down.

he's not explosive, but he's not slow. i agree that i don't think he's athletic enough for the nba elite though.

He can't jump? He's too slow, too stiff? Take a look at the stats on draft express. There were two measures for jumping - one standing and one running. And there was one agility and one on running three quarters of the court. Love beat Anthony Randolph on three out of those four and tied him on the fourth.
