And KVH can't Dee up on a ham sandwich! We can trade for the Tin Man and have more heart on this team.

WHAT!

Cats trying to man up around Keith Van Horn??. Too damn funny.
Why don't you answer Tech's question? What's a fair trade for Spree? Use real GM, post the trade number, and make the agruement why team X would want Spree.

I didn't see that question before, nwny. It was on the previous page.
I like the Wallace idea, but if I'm Portland I don't care how many tech's this guy gets you don't trade him. Ok Tim Duncan is techically playing PF, even more so with SA getting Rasho but he's really a center. So if you take Duncan out of the equation Wallace is the best PF in the NBA. There no way anyone in there right mind would trade him for Spree and KT.

Maybe they can possibly come down with a flash case of LayDownitis and wanna do it.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

The next question is what is Sprewell worth? We are, after all, talking about the trade value of a 33-ish Sprewell coming off arguably his worst season as a pro.
I simply believe that we can get someone better than KVH for him.

Well, I personally don't think we could have done much better. We traded the aging Oakley for Camby and it got us to the finals. We traded some Starks headaches for Sprewell. Then you trade damaged good for damaged goods, just like in the Camby/McDyess deal.

And we trade an aging Sprewell for a guy with some so-called toughness issues, but at least KVH adds at least two tangible things--- size and rebounding... he's not a superstar by any means (at least not right now), but the Sprewell we gave up wasn't either. This is sort of like the Oakley/Camby trade. Trade the heart and soul for a guy perceived as soft.

I believe that with some stability and the right role, KVH can be a good contributor. Coach Majerus said in various articles last weekend that he believe KVH would fit in well in the Knicks system... and we'll have to see about that. Just like it took some time to get over the loss of fan-fave Oakley, it might take some time to accept KVH.

As an aside, I thought it was a decent deal trading Spree for BigDog when the rumor came up last year, but the Buck didn't think it was such a good deal.
