Assuming the first five picks are as expected, who is your choice with the sixth pick.

There's a harmonic convergence between the first five players selected between nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com. Both have the first five going as Rose Beasley Mayo Bayless Love Many here seem to agree with that group of five in some order will be the first five players selected. My question is who you would use on the sixth pick. Let's keep it focused on individual players. We can consider the possibility of trading up or trading down in another thread.
Anthony Randolph
Eric Gordon
Russell Westbrook
Brook Lopez
Danilo Gallinari

curry + 6 for ridnour + petro + 4 - i think seattle makes that deal but would the knicks?

I certainly hope so...

DJ, out of all the people that propose trades on here, yours are easily the most sane and even for both teams lol.

Or how about -- Crawford and #6 for Ridnour and #4.

Seattle gets a scoring guard and could then gamble on either Augustine (Durant's buddy) or Westbrook at #6 -- or maybe even Bayless would be there.

Knicks get Luke to run Mike's system and draft Mayo at #4 to replace Crawford. The key is getting our hands on Mayo and we move Crawfords long term deal and his very poor defense and rebounding.

Have to go Gordon.

Don't like what I've seen from Gallanari (I may be wrong)
Randolph looks like a project with big chance to dissapoint
Lopez is intriguing but something about the kid scares me off
Westbrook - I think there may be something to the fact he hasn't shown point skills and he's not a scoring guard

Gordon is the best player, with great athleticism, a great body with long arms and a big time player.

Say what you want but we still need guys to put the ball in the hole - particularly with this offense.

D'Antoni wants guys who can put the ball in the basket. The D'Antoni influence, aswell as Walsh who watched the kid in Indy tells me that Gordon is the pick with Randoplh being 1A. I can see them trying to convert Gordon into a pg. Not sure if it'll work, but if it can, Gordon will be a monster in this league. There wont a pg in the league who could him. But again, him playing the point is a big if. We've seen many undersized 2 guards in college try to convert over to the 1 and fail.

I think thats where we differ a little. As inept as Minny has been over the years, I can't see Mchale passing on the third best player in the draft. True, Minny already has a few undersized 2 guards, (McCants, Foye) but Mayo is better than both of them. I dont see them taking Love who plays the same position as Jefferson and I think 3 is a little too high for Lopez. Thats why I think it is possible to swap with Minny, but we really need a good package for that.

If I were the GM of the Wolves, I would draft Mayo in a second, then again we are talking about Kevin McHale here and I think when you are talking about Kevin McHale all bets are off, which is why I don't think the'll take Mayo.

And about Love/Jefferson.. I don't think it really matters what position either one of them plays IF they were paired together. Personally, I think that would be a quite a nice frontline and that Love and Jefferson would compliment each other quite well. Again, don't get me wrong, Mayo is the guy this team should choose, but I just don't think McHale will do it.

Randolph. Try to trade for another top 13 pick and maybe Westbrook or Alexander will fall.

Good trade although I'd want Craw or Nate being the main point not Ridnour. He isn't that good. He can back up either one of them. If the guy we truly want is gone and we can't swing a deal to get him then trade down.

In that scenario there wouldn't be a single player available at 6 without huge question marks.

I try desperately to move down and get rid of Randolph.

If I have to make the pick, then it would be Westbrook.

Why do people want to sell low on Curry? His stats, confidence and trade value can be rehabilitated, especially with a coach who won't bother him by asking him to play defense.

See what happens next year and then try to trade him or pray that he opts out of his contract.

I'd trade down and get Westbrook or Alexander.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I think the Knicks have a great position and if anything we should explore moving up. By trading down we lose the leverage of having a high choice of prospects.
If the first two choices are beasley rose then AI see the pool as bayless mayo love randolph and westbrook if we stay at 6 we will get one of those players. Trading down is risky. I like Alexander but I don't think he is on the same level as these players just a tad lower and I want the BPA.

Trade down and get NJ two picks and take Alexander, and take a project at 20.

Trade up to get 3rd pick is my choice but deals are rare so I will go with Randloph with a long look at Gordon at 6th.

Then other equivalent prospects fall. What if project players are drafted 8-12 like Jordan, Speights, Mcgee?

King 1 biggest mistakes the knicks made over the last 7 years was fiddling with their picks trading them giving them away. Time to stop bouncing all over the place and choose the best pick they can make and I mean BPA at anby position. This is a team that has won an average of 20 something games over 6 years. Trade back for what? for pick 21?????

We havent had any lottery picks to pick. I just think from 6-20 there isnt a huge difference so why not get two players instead of one

Very interesting DJ.. only thing with that trade is that Gomes has to be resigned since his contract is now up.

Would you consider this?
Crawford, Lee, Malik(expiring) + 6
for
'Toine, Jaric, Forye + 3, 31
