I'm sure every single shot he took was not a 3 pointer lol. I'm just saying, when I watched Indiana, I saw Gordon take alot of long range shots and didn't use any of this athleticism that he has.

When I watched Derrick Rose I don't think I saw him take more than 5 jumpers from anywhere on the court. And I saw him play at least 3 times this season. I'm not going to qualify him as a player who never takes jumpers though. We have the internet.

Well the internet also tells me that Gordon took 425 shots last year, 208 of them were from 3pt range. That's 49% of his shots.

Before the wrist injury he was hitting nearly 40% of them. The internet also tells you he got to the stripe..

So what that he got to the line, JJ Reddick went to the line more than Gordon did in college and all Reddick did was bomb away as well.

How's this for telling stats:

Mayo - 40% of his shots were 3 pointers. On 3 pointers, he made 40%.

Bayless - 38% of his shots were 3 pointers. On 3 pointers, he made 41%.

Gordon - 49% of his shots were 3 pointers. On 3 pointers, he made 33%.

When I wathced Gordon against uconn--before any of his injuries--he was simply stopped in his tracks quite easily by good basketball players. He could not get to the rim because of Thabeet and AJ price mauled him. Gordon does have a lot of skill--but he is workout warrior and while he tests fast in workouts he isnt game particularly fast against. What I fear from gordon is his penchant from standing 30 feet from the basket---forget youtube--watch a full game he sits behind the 3 pt line and doesnt work hard going around picks--he was slow on the D and bigger longer athletes easily bother his shot because he is 6-2. Most of the numbers he rang up were against cream puffs---he shot mid 30s in the big ten. I dont see Eric Gordon translating to a 45% shooter in the nBA unless he changes his game. He would have to committ to using his driving ability much more--and here is the difference between Westbrook and Gordon--Westbrook has game agility to get to the rim at will. Gordon needs a head of steam to get there--his first step isnt the best and if he is 222 with 8.5% body fat---although he tested well--is he going to be 235 pounds 2 years from now?

You've convinced me Gordon and J.J. are the same player.

Ah, I see how it is. Duck and cover when the argument doesn't fit your sensationalized form of posting..

I'm not trying to convince you anything. You are the poster who made the blanket statement saying the following...
No need people are being critical making generic false statements as to why they don't prefer him.

I don't need someone like yourself to make comments like that, when I watch plenty of college basketball and make judgments with my own two eyes. With all that said, I've watched Gordon more than just 3 times and I didn't see anything that made him the highly touted player he was going into the college and from what I saw, not the player that we should take at 6. You got Rick Majerus on your side and I'm going against Rick who is a very good at gauging players going into the pro's but oh well.
