pierce is PRIME TIME...

he's definitely 1 of the more underrated players in the NBA, no doubt about it... he can hold his own w/anyone on the floor offensively, & defensively when he wants to he can be a very tough defender... still think he's an overreactive drama king, but i could say that about a lot of guys who play in the NBA... when i see guys like Charlie Ward, Nate Robinson, Renaldo Balkman, David Lee, etc. diving into the stands, dropped on their heads, banging into dudes w/no abandon & bounce back up like it was nothing, it makes guys like PP look like big babies when they pull the Fred Sanford "Elizabeth I'm comin' to join ya honey" act everytime they get smacked on the head accidentally or tweak their ankles.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

The only way the series would be watched is by the Lakers losing in the series early.

Paul Pierce injury was bigtime phony, could never have been as bad as he made it out to be. And people whine about floppers?
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Maybe but sometimes an injury just looks a lot worse initially than it really was. Vince does that about once a week. It definitely could have been BS or it could have been one of the injuries that look a lot worse initially than it really was. How do you know which it was?

Stern needs something to boost the NBA AND HE GOT IT, but he also needs people to have a reason to watch outside of the marquee matchup.

Pierce comeback so soon after an apparent series ending injury had a psycological impact on the fakers. Don't forget the nba game is 90 % mental

Now that he has KG & Ray Allen on his team, he has really stepped up his game. But, if you need two other superstars on your team to play up to your potential, what does that say about you as a player?
It says that he's human just like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Larry Bird. (I think it's a stretch to call Ray Allen a superstar at this point in his career also.)

yep. outside of MJ and the dream, who has won it all without that bonafide 3rd guy?

Even MJ had a top 50 all time player and one of the best defensive players ever on his team

Sport fans and objectiveness can coexist like fire and ice.
All Lakers and Boston players are retards, fakers, ponies, soft, drama kids, etc.
All Knicks players are solid heroes and masters of the game...

he went from a nice run gunning away with Toine to "all alone" playing with a team of rookies and sophomores to a now starphucked veteran led squad and he instantaneously bought in to the concept of team on both sides of the ball.

I'd say it says he is a true pro and he wants to win.

Nalod, would you trade Stephon Marbury for Paul Pierce?

Boston is playing great and inching closer to a championship. I think a lot of the negative comments are jealousy, since Ainge pulled off, in one shot, what Isiah failed to do over 10 times. Pierce is playing great, end of story.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

For Isiah to succeed before, Dumars had to trade Prince and/or Rip for a youngins. wait...Zeke had to trade DLee and the Mayor for garbage to Detroit...wait...Zeke did this for every team in the league.....ahhhhhhhh...I am so happy popcorn man is gone.

No.

Don't get me wrong, I respect Pierce's ability, just not his on court way.

Not Jealousy, just don't like Ainge, pierce, Auerbach, Henry Finkel, Jo Jo White, Havlichk, Cowens, and Heinson. Sorry, Im old school and celts were the enemy. I respected Showtime and Birds Celts in the 80's but rooted for the 76ers with DR. J. I was a Dr. J Net fan in the ABA.

Celts did a great Starphuch and they should be happy. Im not sure what I would think if the Knicks did such a thing and all of a sudden were massively respectable with a starphuch savior infusion. Lakes were doing pretty well this year with Bynum and Kobe Jellin and the "donation" was pretty smooth also.

I'd have to say the lakes might have some legs to them the next few years while the Celts might not be able to sustain this more than 2 seasons. Pierce and Ray are not getting younger.

Starphucked? Usually that's a derogatory term that wouldn't be used to describe a team 2 games away from the title.

pierce is a good player. I had a thread when everyone was all over dirk, highlighting that pierce was just as good a player as dirk was and his stats may even have been better his first 6 years in the league.... pierce can score. He is a big actor and a clown tho.. don't like him, but he can play...

I can't imagine any Knicks fan rooting for the Celtics for God sake PJ Brown is on that team. This man single handedly destroyed the Knicks and their championship with one flip of the Ward.

I couldn't root for him if he were a Knick.

I'd still call you "Anal Snitmeister Gay robot" even at your wedding (to a women).

I introduced "starphuch" to the UK world so I can use and abuse if I so choose.
