Lopez is not a lock for third. Have you read about his showing at the draft camp. I don't think he will go before eight. I also have heard alot about Kevin Love going to Minnesota with the third pick.

He's selfish, TO prone, no floor vision and already has a load of personal problems off the court.

It's another suckbury in the making.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Draftexpress has him going to us at 6 also. I can't imagine that he will be there. He is better than Bayless. Lopez did not look good at the draft camp. Mayo is definitely the third best player in the draft. The only way he slips to 4 is if the Love to Minnesota rumor is true. I think Mayo will be a star and I would love to see the Knicks get him.

Are you kidding? Lopez is a lock for 3rd. Mayo will be lucky to be picked up by 8th.

You have Lopez going 3rd and Mayo being "lucky" if he's picked up by 8th ?

Although anything can happen on draft night, I think you seriously need to reevaluate your draft predictions because I promise you Mayo will go top 6.

Dude, it's already been stated that the draft camp is not' the do all of who to pick. It under minds the scouts, throughout the league, on an entire season. The camp was designed to show the GM's who haven't had a chance to see them yet. In some cases, it will determine a pick or not. But it is not the one thing (camp) that is going to determine every guy in the upper part of the draft.

Too much has been made about Lopez (falling) and Mayo (skyrocketing). In the end, Lopez is a top 3 draft pick and Mayo is somewhere in the top eight. It was just a couple of drills and nothing should be made out of it.
I'll never trust this' team again.

From NBAdraftnet:1. Chicago Derrick Rose 6-3 195 PG Memphis Fr. 31. *Minnesota Nikola Pekovic 6-11 243 PF Serbia 1986
2. Miami Michael Beasley 6-9 235 SF K.St. Fr. 32. Seattle Gary Forbes 6-5 201 SG UMass Sr.
3. Minnesota OJ Mayo 6-4 210 SG USC Fr. 33. *Portland Joey Dorsey 6-9 260 PF/C Memphis Sr.
4. Seattle Jerryd Bayless 6-3 182 SG Ariz. Fr. 34. Minnesota Sonny Weems 6-6 201 SG Arkansas Sr.
5. Memphis Kevin Love 6-9 260 PF UCLA Fr. 35. LA Clippers Davon Jefferson 6-8 210 SF USC Fr.
6. New York Anthony Randolph 6-10 200 SF LSU Fr. 36. *Portland Kyle Weaver 6-5 201 SG/PG Wash.St. Sr.
7. LA Clippers Eric Gordon 6-4 220 SG Indiana Fr. 37. Milwaukee Courtney Lee 6-5 200 SG W.Kentucky Sr.
8. Milwaukee Russell Westbrook 6-3 187 PG UCLA So. 38. Charlotte Mike Taylor 6-2 205 SG NBDL 1986
9. Charlotte Brook Lopez 7-0 260 C Stanford

From draftexpress coverage of Day 4:Speaking of lukewarm impressions, Brook Lopez didn’t do a whole lot to ease the concerns NBA people have about him, not moving all that well up and down the floor and showing a very average skill-level in most of the drills.

From NBAdraftnet coverage of day 4: Brook Lopez looked awkward running the floor, he has some very stiff legs and at times he had people in the crowd worried he might get hurt by continuing to run in this manner. The rest of his workout was nothing out of the ordinary as he did little to impress or hurt his stock.

you really dont know anything about this guy

No less, no more than you's do.

And you guys pushing for him, are doing it from the viewpoint of a camp for show. You aren't even taking into account what the scouts have said overall and aren't looking at them in an entire season.

And we are NOT' drafting this guy. Walsh has something else in mind.
I'll never trust this' team again.

right... Walsh is going to package Lee, this years pick and future picks with every long contract he has so he can sign Chris Paul, Lebron and Dwight Howard in the same year

Where in the world did you get that at? I NEVER' SAID WE WERE GOING AFTER ALL THREE IN THE SAME YEAR!!!!!

Packaging Lee and future picks for LeBron, Paul and Dwight is a complete joke! You just make this stuff up as you go along, don't you?

I'm not here to have any discussion but let whoever believe what they want to believe. Walsh's plan is to get under the cap. It's not unrealistic they may one day have the ability to sign a top free agent. Not really that unrealistic at all. Try not responding to every post with sarcasm. Cap space will be a big part of the team for the next few years so the dreaming of LeBron will be expected. Now, is it more capable to happen if we have $20 million to throw around rather than the MLE? Yes. Which is why ridiculing isn't the way to go.

I don't agree with a lot of things 4949 says but you need a better argument against his posts. It's actually not that hard really. Most of his posts are sort of out there.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Wow! You just started WW III with me!

Chris Paul and Dwight Howard are more realistic than LeBron. I'll give you guys that much.

So what's your idea of a star G? Why don't you and fish stop crying for awhile and offer an idea? I feel like bashing you around for awhile.

Dude, this is why I think you're high when you're posting. I just told him to stop repeating the same line over and over about free agents when it's not that unrealistic to think we can sign someone. Try reading my post again.

Is this for me? I have responded numberous times. I have pointed out that franchise players dont leave their teams via FA... ever

I have made several arguements why making cap space a priority is terrible path for this franchise, especially as currently constructed. I have backed that arguement up with two simple points. One is that the kind of franchise players that 4949 is talking about dont leave their teams via FA. Two is that the Knicks have an advantage over almost every other NBA team in that they can afford to pay for more talent than other teams can, so why waste that resource.

Would you like to respond to that? Feel free to add to the discussion anytime

Why in the world would we save resources and for what' if we're not going to use it???

My math hasn't never been tested to make a pitch at those ideas I have put fourth ma-man!

We already know that with all of the loads of salary we have, and can spend, that your theories of going after mediocre players has failed miserably!!!

How many people here think suckbury making more money than guys like Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant is worth every cent???

That's my point! Why can't we spend it on big names?

It's so simple and so possible. Our cap situation has never been put into a position to prove it!

Give Walsh cap flexibility and I promise you he will prove it!

IF' Walsh is doing what I think he is doing (and what he's been saying and the evidence that we are seeing), then I can almost promise you that if we don't have a player of Paul, LeBron and Howard's caliber, by the end of the next three years, then he will at least make attempts to get one or the other here in NY!

Then we will truly know what he is trying to do. And I'm saying that it isn't going to be mediocre anymore.

There is no question that we have the money, but it just that dumbass Layden and dumbass isiah put it all in the wrong places.

This, and everyone tom, dick and harry knows it, is what I have been saying since I got to this board and what I have been saying for the longest time on other boards.

Why would a team that has so much to give, want to continue to spend it on useless bums? It no longer makes any sense anymore!

Let's go for the prize.
I'll never trust this' team again.
