That still can happen. Better late than never.

And things will fall far short of your expectations.

He finally has motivation. Contract year and a pending eviction notice from his lifelong dream.

If that does not motivate you then what will?

He has all the money for 10 lifetimes, maybe he should play for pride.

I'd like to see him return to form and get it together.

Then play for the MLE to stay in NY. If he really is sincere about "staying home" then he needs to contribute somthing. He has been a selfish malcontent his whole career and if he wants love here, he has to give back now.

Otherwise let him have a good year and play for more money elsewhere.

u cannot be serious... u would extend him to a MLE contract & have him here for another 5 years? haven't we had enough of his poisonous presence on this roster to let u know this franchise is much better off w/o the guy around? look at how all the teams have improved after he left whereever he's played... the guy is just a dark rain cloud that brings everyone down around him... if Walsh signs this guy to an extension i'll be jumping the boat over to islesfan's side w/a quickness.

Marbury is ON DRUGS. He is a CRACKHEAD. This is the same guy who goes on TV flying off of exctasy. Hes DONE. Id rather watch Mardy "Im still in the NBA for unknown reasons" Collins start next year than Marbury. I dont want to read one more Berman article where a "friend" of Marburys moans about playing time, or playing style, or whatever. Cut Marbury, enough!

This is a contract year for Starbury... this player who has never been about the team... he looks after himself...
... and last time I checked, he looked after himself to the tune of a max contract... so expect exceptional numbers from Starbury this year and please everyone don't be suckered into resigning that crazy team cancer.

Precisely.
I'll never trust this' team again.

correction.. doesnt believe we will GET Lebron

Has nothing to lose by watching suckbury succeed.

I believe Lebron will be a great player in this league for a very long time.

I think its cute you think Lebron will be a Knick. I have no prob with that. I just hope our GM has a backup plan.

Im certainly not in support of resigning him , but im not going to trade him for junk just to get rid of him, because as i said before there he has skills. I think most of you are more sick of his attitude then his game.

We've addressed a few things: that he's vacant upstairs, that he's a career loser, that he's unbelievably selfish.

Here's another: he's an old 31, with ankle problems, emotional issues & just isn't that good anymore.

They should really consider a buyout if they are not able to unload his contract for a young star player. I can't see a team giving up a star young player for Marbury. So just buy out or tell him to stay home.

You don't think 20+ mill off of someones books holds value. The knicks have brought out every big contract that had a year or 2 left on it and have gotten worse in the process, and are still over the cap. You need to make expiring contracts work in your favor at some point.

it all depends who we're getting back in the deal... if you're saying u wanna give up Marbury's expiring to take on Vince Carter's albatross, i'll have to check your temperature... if you say you wouldn't mind giving him up for someone who's contract comes off the books in '10 that could possibly help our team, i'd be open to the idea, but it depends on who it is & what the terms of the deal are.

Mayo's been described as selfish also. I almost forgot about that one.

I still think we'd almost be crazy not to talk to Paul, after next year. We got almost 30 million freeing up after next year and 2009-10 is Paul's option year. If we can get him on board, then LeBron might want to come here. And if not, there's always Dwight Howard the following year, because he's also in his final year and curry, jeffries, jerome and Zbo are coming off the books. We'll have a whole **** load of money by then, with a nice big option coming.

Paul, Howard, and the rest of what we'll have on this team, will certainly be a vast improvement. No question, we will have the money after next year and after three seasons from now. The future is already looking brighter.
I'll never trust this' team again.

49, we don't have any cap space to offer Paul any kind of deal... no way no how are we gonna get him unless our lottery pick this season turns out to be a straight up stud & we package that kid w/more assets if we even have any to deal, which ain't gonna happen... the salary coming off the books doesn't put us under the cap that season, we have no chance at luring Paul here in '10, not because i don't think he'd wanna come here, but because it's simply not possible under the present CBA & our current capped out situation... this is why it's absolutely necessary to unload Zach Randolph's contract at least 1 year before it expires & get rid of that money from the payroll, & why Isiah was such a stupid nincompoop for making that trade to begin with.

I guess suckbury and Malik's contracts of 28 million total ending after this next year means nothing?

Let's save Zbo, jeffries, curry and jerome for Dwight. If those ending contracts don't free up cap, then nothing will.
